It used to be the only way to read/write on google calendars. It stopped working with new versions of Lightning (>1.9.1). It cannot log-in to my google (gmail) calendar account anymore. It keeps asking me the password as if it is not recognized. Useless now :-((

Lighting is (was) the only option for calendar management in Thunderbird. I have used it successfully for years until about version 14 of TB. The current combination of TB 17.0.6 and Lighting 1.9.1 makes my computer totally unusable. Super slow, almost frozen. ASA I disable Lighting 1.9.1 add-on, TB 17.0.6 works perfectly. VERY bad that we lost this very useful resource. Similar problems with the combination of TB 22 and demo lighting 2.4b, plus this version does not allow log-in at Google calendars. Password is not recognized and the log-in windows keeps popping up. Any suggestion? Any fix under development?
