I've tested this with the latest beta, 3.0b4, and it works well.

There is one small gotcha: on the first settings page of each account, there is a drop-down menu called: "Outgoing Server (SMTP)", where you can select the smtp server associated with a given account. For this extension to work, it has to be set to "Use Default Server".

I recommend this extension particularly to laptop users who may need to switch outgoing servers depending on their location.
