One of the best TB extensions available. Works great. A great tool for those who use TB at work.

Unfortunately it doesn't work any more (thunderbird 78.2.2).
Edit: It works, the addon options are no more in the same place as before, but they have moved it to tools - addon options menu. Thank you John! Endorsed
It does, maybe you need to check you add-ons for updates?

Excellent!
I've been using Thunderbird for at least 5 years and am constantly looking for new plugins - can't believe I missed this one for so long. I''ve been using Quicktext for about a month and I don't know how I ever survived with out it.
Just one wish - it would be great to be able to specifiy email addresses in the template.

Please make it compatible with beta version (currently version 80). I love this addon but does not work with the beta version.

I've been using Quicktext for so many years, and then the support from the original author (Hesslow) went to a trickle and then dried up completely, even though it was pay-ware and I was paying for the Pro edition every year for years.
And now I find it's been in open source since 2015!!!!! Why didn't anybody tell me?!?!?!?! O.O

Everyone in the company uses Thunderbird JUST so that we can use Quicktext. Please send John a small pittance to encourage him to continue to maintain this fantastic add-on. The only weakness is that if you want a little style you have to use HTML. It is not difficult. You should see my Forum explanation on HTML at:

FABULOUS! Saves loads of time. I run an internet business from home and get a number of standard questions. With QT I can reply with just two clicks of a mouse :-) I have used it for about 5 yrs

Simple easy to use tool that lets you create or insert text/html emails. This tool can save you a ton of time and the disgust of repeating yourself.

Greatest add-on! I too cannot live without this. I often downgrade TB for this app to work. Quicktext became main reason to use TB. In the past, not enough updates and frustrated me. Hope it keeps updating in the future.

Great tool, unfortunately in Spanish, since last TB update instead of acutes or ñ it displays a question symbol. Any idea on how to fix it?

LOVE and depend on this add-on, but no longer working with latest TB update 68.4.1. Will you be fixing this!!!??? Update: Thanks for the quick response John. Did as you directed and am all set. (How did I not know to do this. Ha) Will be making a contribution & thanks for such an invaluable add on!!
