Full Address Column

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely essential! -- Goodness knows, surely the TB developers would understand that being able to see the domain part of each address in the mail list is an essential security aid, so one can immediately spot suspect domains associated with familiar names that come before the @ -- Yet apparently they haven't yet done so.

Just why this add-on was ever necessary, I just don't know because the need is so obvious to anyone with a bit of common sense. Please, developers, build full address columns into TB, so an add-on isn't necessary, or at least enable this add-on to function once more!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.4).

IE Tab Plus (FF 5+, 4+, 3.6+)

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This has been an excellent FF add-on, and now I have to chuck it out because of this Window Shopper adware. I note that the latter isn't listed among my add-ons, so it must have come in integrated with IE Tab Plus, and thus I can't remove it separately. I'm particularly surprised that it's a basically really good FF add-on that has brought adware to my computer, because I'm generally extremely careful security-wise, and had never before had unintentionally got adware on my computer. In fact I'd recently tried Supershopper as an add-on in its own right, and I had promptly kicked it off my system when a visit to Amazon found me assaulted with exasperatingly intrusive Window Shopper pop-ups - so it's with a wry smile that I have to kick it off again, but of course with disappointment that IE Tab Plus has to go too.

--------------

Later edit: Thank you, other reviewers who have pointed out that a 'clean' version of the same nominal version of IE Tab Plus is available! I have now installed this. However, I assume that when a new update appears, if the official auto-update still has that adware attached, then I'll have the hassle of uninstalling it again and checking to see whether a 'clean' version of that version is available. But I expect the developer will have learnt his lesson by then and most likely would no longer be messing about with add-ons to his add-on.

I retain the one-star rating for the auto-update version, but my rating otherwise (i.e. for the clean version) is 5-star - a really nice piece of work.

PingMe

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This add-on simply doesn't work at all on my system (FF 3.6.3 and Win7 Home Premium). That is, I see absolutely nothing happen after I've clicked the 'Ping all links' right-click menu option.

IE Tab Plus (FF 5+, 4+, 3.6+)

Like probably most other users, I'd come to Coral IE Tab when I'd been left high and dry by the incompatibility of the original IE Tab and FF 3.6. I approached it with great diffidence on account of the various problems people were reporting in their reviews.

Having been using Coral IE Tab for some time now, I have to say that on my Win7 system, and with quite a number of FF add-ons, Coral IE Tab has functioned flawlessly as far as I can tell, and I've greatly welcomed the cookie sync between FF and IE and indeed the Ablock Plus support in both browsers.

And I much appreciate the good work of the author in addressing the issues that had given problems for some people, even though I've not been affected by them.
