Readability
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I had the same problem as bookkish below. It's easy enough to fix, and I'll put my solution here for anyone else who needs it. In a nutshell, I have a 1366px-wide screen, and Readability is written for 800px-wide screens. Good for backward-compatibility, bad for people with modern screen sizes. Even setting margins to Extra Narrow, they took up 45% of the screen width.
Here's the solution: You'll need to find the file readability.css in Readability's extension folder under chrome > content > style. Open readability.css in your favorite text editor. The problematic setting is in line 6 and is max-width:800px;. You want to change that number to something more appropriate for your screen resolution. My resolution is 1366×768 and setting max-width:1240px; or so looks good and doesn’t overlap with the Readability tools in the upper left corner with margins set to Extra Narrow.

One star because no legitimate Firefox add-on needs to resort to spam. I thought AMO's review process was supposed to catch things like this?
Simple Timer

I'll admit at first I couldn't understand putting a clock in Firefox when the Windows System Clock is right underneath, but the notification and count up features sold me.
This addon is a handy way to easily see how much time you've spent on a particular task (or how much time you've wasted) and give you reminders when it's time to change tasks.
In response to ultraj1004's review, you can accomplish this functionality by using a custom audio file that simply lasts more than a few seconds.

Great idea, I had it installed for about a week but ultimately uninstalled it, for two reasons.
First, the addon's Options menu contains no text at all. All the options are presented with pictures which are obviously less-intuitive than the developer thinks they are. I had to read through the reviews here just to figure out what they were.
Second, and much more importantly, there is no way to customize the colour used. Although I love how it uses the domain name to decide the colour, sometimes the colour chosen contrasts badly with the dominant colour theme of the website itself, and there is no way within the addon to change this.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
