if this isn't right for you, you can try http://www.fbarchive.com ... which archives posts as a cron job every 10 minutes.

Gmail Manager

I'm not sure if this is supposed to allow you to log in to multiple GMail accounts at once. It does successfully let me know if there are messages in the other account. But the only way to have multiple accounts opened (multiple cookie "sessions") is still to have multiple Firefox profiles opened (which doesn't work in Vista).
