Rats! I can't believe this basic functionality still isn't in T-bird.

Love, love, love this add-on. It takes a little time to set up properly, because you have to assign colors to the different calendars. But once it's done, WOW. The color-coding is great to get an at-a-glance view of what still needs doing.
...BUT, this is not compatible with Thunderbird 60. I rolled back to an earlier version to continue using this add-on, but was wondering if it would be updated to work on 60.

I am using Thunderbird 45.8.0 and Lightning 4.7.8.
I Downloaded this program Anyway.
And then, I saved this .xpi file on a proper location.
And then, I installed this Addon From file on Extension setting(Extensions window has setting button upper right).
It works very well without any problems.^^
Thank you. Philipp Kewisch.

This is just what I needed to keep my tasks more organized! One slight modification would be nice though. The default orange highlighting when a task is selected will hide the task depending on what color you have made it. It would be nice if the highlighting for each task would also change to whatever color has been chosen for the text, similar to Thunderbird's email "tags."

Super simple & easy way to colorize the different tasks depending on which calendar the task belongs to. It's just what I was looking for!

Please continue the developement!

Nice add-on, does what it promises.
Suggestions that would make it even better:
- Would be nice if not the task's text, but it's background was colored like in the calender (because for example yellow on white is hard to read).
- It would also be useful to be able to use the colors of the categories istead of those of the calenders.

Worked fine for me under Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). Had to unzip the xpi file, modify the file "install.rdf" by changing <em:maxVersion>3.0b2pre</em:maxVersion>to <em:maxVersion>3.2b2pre</em:maxVersion> then zipping all the files back up before installing.Colors are those you've assigned to right-clicking on each calendar, going to Properties, and assigning colors.

It seems useful but it doesn't work in Sunbird 1.

Doesn't work for me either. In fact the tasks are now all colored in blue, regardless of their category. But keep up the good work, your extension should be quite useful !
A little precision : I've tried it under Linux on Thunderbird 3.0.9 and Lightning 1.0b1.

Works fine under 3.1 also. You can unzip the xpi and modify the install.rdf. Look for the thunderbird section, and change the maxversion to 3.1. Zip all the files back up and install the xpi.
Great extension, thank you. Would like a category color feature also.

Sadly, this doesn't work with Thunderbird 3.1 so I've had to remove it. Quite useful (if it could be updated).

It works as it says it does for me - Windows XP, TB 3.0.5 and Lightning 1.0B1. At first my tasks vanished but this was because the task colour is determined by the calendar colour so the calendar colour must be set to something other than white. When I did this my tasks re-appeared.
This add-on makes the tasks take the colour of the calendar. I actually wanted an add-on to take the colours of the categories but this add-on does exactly what it says.

Works fine. Don't know why there is no default support for the colorview

Doesn't do a thing for me. Can't tell difference between when it's enabled and disabled.

Worked great for me. Allows for easy review of related tasks. I didn't have any install problems. Installed as expected.
BTW I have TB 2.0.0.23 w/ Lightning installed.
