Success!! Installing Australis 31.8.5 has solved the problem! Now able to use Calendar Tweaks to colour events. Many thanks for all your help. Donation on it's way!

Have tried your suggestions. Version 30.31 (without Lightning Design) allows me to change event colours using Calendar Tweaks. Don't know how to access 31.8 or 31.8.5 so cannot try these. I am able to change colours in events using all other Thunderbird themes except Australis 31.7.5. I think there is a bug within 31.7.5 that does not allow changes in colours of events - they always stay green! Thank you for your help.

Sorry, I have tried all you suggest but all events still stay green!
Not sure what you mean by 'Or use Australis ReDesign TB without Lightning-Design, when you use Calendar Tweaks !'
How is this done?
Calendar Tweaks

When using Calendar Tweaks in conjunction with complete theme 'Australis Redesign TB 31.7.5' the calendar tweaks colours for events are overided universally by the green colour applied by the theme, all events staying green. Is there a way around this problem?

When using this theme in Thunderbird in conjunction with the add on 'Calendar Tweaks 6.1.' it is not possible to apply category colours to the events as the green applied by the Australis theme overides everything. Is it possible to do anything about this....?
