My Reviews
Expression Search / GMailUI
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I don't understand why so many people prefer web mail interfaces these days. I feel that a local client like Thunderbird is far more comfortable and flexible to handle, with one exception: The search function in GMail is more convenient to use than the one in Thunderbird. Expression Search / GMailUI brings the same functionality to Thunderbird. For me it works just fine, I couldn't observe any of the bugs that same others have reported in their reviews. However, I did observe one other bug: With this extension installed, the menu bar no longer works. It's still there, but no longer clickable. As all menu bar options are also available from the "hamburger" menu, this is not a disaster. It's still an acceptable trade-off for the added value provided by this extension.

Works fine in FF 42. As others already said, it's hard to understand why this isn't the default for copying link texts in FF. Are there any advantages to the awkward default behaviour that I'm not aware of...?
Anyway, this add-on takes care of the problem once and for all - install and forget. The only bad thing about it is its name. ;)
Squared Australis Tabs (Tb)
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I loathe the "Australis" design. Fortunately, the add-on Classic Theme Restorer allows us to undo most of the damage in Firefox... but what about Thunderbird? "Squared Australis Tabs for Thunderbird" to the rescue! :)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Works fine, just as it should. Just two things that might be improved in a future version:
1 - Switching between various languages should be more straight forward, i.e. without having to go into add-ons/settings each time.
2 - It should be possible to transliterate a whole page immediately, without having to highlight the text first.
Fit Images
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Nice alternative to Image Zoom, which is no longer working in newer versions of Thunderbird - thanks!
Just 4 stars because there is still some room for improvement: It would be great if future versions would also let you rotate images, the way Image Zoom did. (I keep getting photos in landscape mode that should have been portrait mode and vice versa.)
Copy Urls Expert
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
There are quite a lot of extensions that let you copy the URLs of tabs, but this is the only one I know of that lets you - among other things - easily copy the URLs of a specific window. Useful especially if you organize sessions into windows with tabs relating to specific topics.

Great for everyone who posts in more than one language and prefers to spell correctly. :)
