Bookmarks: eMails and XNotes - Quick 'Jump To' 1.8.4
by opto
Bookmark Toolbar and Menu for easy switching to emails and XNotes.
While you can already 'star' or 'tag' emails, they are still hidden in their (deeply nested?) folder and are not in direct daily view.
Bookmark them!
About this Add-on
* press control-b
* use button in messagedisplay
* use add icon in bookmark toolbar
* use add in bookmark menu.
You can jump to bookmarked emails or XNotes by clicking the bookmark, or from the bookmarks menu. By using the drop down menu, emails can also be displayed in a tab or in a standalone window.
If the folder is closed/hidden, Bookmarks will open it and will display the email in the mail:3pane window.
For tagged emails, the text colour of the bookmark will follow the tag.
The toolbar can be hidden from view-> toolbars.
If there are more bookmarks than the toolbar can hold, there will be an overflow 'more' button.
Known issues:
Upon moving an email into another folder, the bookmark is lost. Since TB 91, there is functionality to resolve this, and bookmark/email tracking will follow in a future version.
More button: sometimes, we receive a wrong size of the toolbar, and the positioning of bookmarks and more button, sometimes, is not perfect.
Ideas, bugs etc.: Please add an issue at https://github.com/opto/bookmarks/issues or send a personal email.
This addon is based on eMarks by Franscesco Herrera, developed for TB 3, and was lost since 2010. New functionality has been added, such as following the tag/keyword color and bookmarking XNotes.
In order to bookmark XNotes, you need to install the XNotes addon. Bookmarks for events, tasks etc. will follow.
