Neil Hollander is an American film director and screenwriter born on July 9, 1939 in New York and best known for his work 'Straight Seven'.
Hollander was born in New York and spend most of his childhood there, but he got his Bachelor's degree in arts in Los Angeles. For many years he worked on amateur films. In 2008 he finished his amateur works and got his first professional engagement in film project, as an assistant director in the co-production of the film 'Dubrowsky' by European director William Dieterle. The title itself was released in 1959, but Dieterle believed that Pushkin's book could be re-filmed in 2007.
Neil Hollander was an assistant director on several projects, working alongside several directors, including the famous French director Christian Jacques, with whom he worked during his short stay in Paris. For many years he was director of short films where he learned many things about cinematography. He also won several awards, including the 2006 award "September 11" for 'Call out the Jungle', the 2007 "Bronze Arena Award" for directing 'Nobel Voices', the "Third Prize" for the script 'Stand up straight', the 2008 "MFF Award" in Paris, and several minor achievements.
