Recently switched to Mac X. Tried to use Apple Mail, which may in fact be a great app, but have been happy with Thunderbird/Lightening on WinXP, so went back to the tried and true. Installed w/o problem and works great on the Mac so far. Best of all worlds.

Have used on both Windows XP and Mac X. Works seamlessly on both. Elegantly solves an otherwise persistent problem. Big thanks to the developer.
