CookieKeeper
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Snooping by government agencies is bad enough - but tawdry advertising cookies are no better and are now endemic. This CookieKeeper add-on really shows just how bad things have become, and hands back some privacy control to internet users.
After experiencing recent problems with eBay pages freezing and slowing down, I suspected that cookie saturation might be the cause. I installed CookieKeeper, deleted all my cookies, then went straight to MyeBay page. I checked the cookie list again and discovered - to my amazement - that more than 90 cookies had been reinstalled, all by virtue of visiting one single website.
Just a handful of these cookies included the word "ebay". All the rest were unwanted advertising snoopers, which I've now blocked. Problem solved.
So I now regularly monitor my cookie list and permanently block any that do not contain the name of the visited website. The facility to allow cookies for the session only is also a useful feature.
CookieKeeper is brilliant. I bet those advertising stalkers hate it!
