I've searched for an addon like this since over several months. Great! Exactly, exactly what I need :)

One small question, I would like to customize position of show/hide node button on mail toolbar, because the last button always was the DELETE. This button (and its functionality) was burned into my brain :-), this new one is really annoying.

I tried to customize the mail toolbar, but this something is a special button, I wasn't able to move to other position.

The "Hide note" button is not working.

1. Unfortunately I don't know the easy way to make at the same time i) the position of show/hide button customizable and ii) the button should be preinstalled. But I will try.
2. Yes, the hide button doesn't work quite well. The fix will be in the next version.
