I like Newsfox, BUT, I can't seem to find a way of automatically deleting news articles after they have been read and are, say, 1 week old. As far as I can see, the number of news articles will just keep growing and growing, unless I delete articles individually and with 12000 articles that's impossible.

Unless you change the defaults, old read articles are deleted when they disappear from the feed file. The deletion is controlled in the feed options.
