Session Manager
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm writing this for all who are not as tech savvy and need help restoring Session Manager after the Quantum update. First, your sessions ARE NEVER DELETED AFTER AN UPDATE. To prove this go to, Menu>Add-ons>Show legacy extensions. Session Manager should still be there but greyed out because it's incompatible with Quantum. Which means the extension and its contents are not deleted. Now to recover your session you need to locate your profile folder by going to Menu>Help>Troubleshooting Information>Application Basics>Profile Folder> Open Folder. Here you should see your profile folder in explorer and a folder named "sessions" click this and all your sessions from Session Manager will be there. The last step is to import this to the new session Manager, but first you need to install it. Find this new manager by going to the greyed out session manager in legacy extensions and clicking "Find a Replacement". The new manager should appear and install this. Finally import your old sessions to the new session manager by clicking on its firefox toolbar icon and going to, Sessions>Import(copy address bar of profiles location and paste to explorer pop-up address bar)>Highlight(with cursor) your Sessions(select as many or little sessions you want)>Open>Import and your Done!
Hopefully this new manager will evolve to the level Session Manager was at but until then it works.
