Cookie Importer
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This may be the solution to FF "forgetting" Google preference settings ! Just save the cookie after you've set Google prefs and then use this program to import that cookie when you next start FF. It works like a charm.
It's a bit messy, since it's a manual operation. Still, it's _way_ quicker than setting Google prefs one-by-one, over and over again.
For the record, the problem of Google preferences being forgotten (languages, number of search entries displayed, adult filters, etc.) has long been a problem with FF. No solution has yet been found - so this is actually a terrific solution.
SmiliesFTW Toolbar

What would be wonderful would be a way to automatically delete "smilies" from all web pages. That would clean up the mess for reading the text.
Cookie Exporter
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Saves cookies - and with Cookie Importer, restores them. Perfectly.
Forget about WGET - just export with Cookie Exporter when you've got the cookies you want (prefs, ID's, etc.). Next FF startup, run Cookie Importer and voila : a cleaned up set of cookies without having to go through all the ID and set prefs ...
A wonderful time-saver. Now if only there were a way to automate the import step on startup ... (hint, hint...).
