CookieKeeper
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
All I need is a way to keep ONE cookie I need permanently to identify myself to a paid website. I want to accept all cookies automatically for the current session, without having pop-ups ask my permission UNLESS I put the site on a blacklist. Otherwise I want to delete all cookies on exiting Firefox EXCEPT the one that must remain intact and inviolable. Otherwise I want to forget about cookies.
Why is this so hard?

UPDATE Sept. 2015: I was wrong! (But where is the help file that tells me what to do?). I get exactly what I asked for by going to CookieKeeper Preferences, selecting the Firefox sub-menu, checking "Clear history when Firefox closes" and under "Accept Policy" selecting "Allow all cookies (default)" and under Lifetime Policy "Accept normally (default)". Then of course protect the cookies I want to keep when on their sites. Apparently I had selected "Ask before accepting" under Lifetime Policy -- who knew? I'm glad I looked again.
