My Reviews
Forecastfox Weather
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very useful and easily configurable.
Can be used in FX 29 w/ addons like Classic Theme Restore, The Addon Bar, or The Puzzle Piece.
Feature request: add Relative Humidity and/or "Feels like" temperature in current conditions.
Master Password+
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Comprehensive handling of TB/FX master password functionality. Very useful for the privacy/security conscious user, particularly if others can easily access your desktop when you step away.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.16.1.1-signed).Compact Toolbar (Compact Icons)
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Worked great w/ FF 3.5, would love an update for FF 3.6+.
Gnome-keyring password integration
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Tried using this but enabling it makes the passwords accumulated in Firefox unusable. Without the ability to import existing FF passwords it is too inconvenient to begin using this add-on.
Note: The rating does not reflect my assessment of the add-on, since I didn't try it out -- I had to pick a rating since the form requires it.
Toolbar Buttons
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Allows easy access to browser and add-on controls and allows for efficient use of toolbar real estate. A must-have for power users.
I recently noticed that some buttons (File, Edit, View, etc.) don't work in TB2 and TB3.
StartupMaster
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Helpful workaround for the FF bug/feature that motivated this. Needs to be updated to account for new extensions/services, as others have mentioned, e.g., Weave.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).SortPlaces
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very useful and fast. Particularly like the automatic sort option when new bookmarks are added.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.4).SyncPlaces
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Nice alternative to Xmarks. Just started using it and am glad to be able to sync passwords w/ encryption using my own server.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5.0).Tiny Menu
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
simple and handy
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.9).Silvermel
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Very elegant -- I'm using it in T'bird. Held back on the 5th star because:
1. The star indicating new mail in POP accounts is barely discernible.
2. Feeds and IMAP account images have no indication of new items.
3. There is no distinction between mail folders and custom search folders, both have the same image.
