Forecastfox Weather
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Yesterday I tried my hometown again, but it came up with old data. Tried a nearby larger city and FCF updated ok. Today the current conditions (now) tab is updating, but the today and next day tabs still a day behind and not updating.
Where is the developer of this add-on? Why is he not responding to our issues? If he doesn't want to mess with it any longer, at least release the source code into the public domain so someone else can pick it up. Many of us have sent a note to both his address here and also to AccuWeather, but no response from either one.
There is a Google group that is actively following the problems with FCF too.
Still one star rating until it works again, then five stars for sure.

Forecastfox is broke. Turning off compatibility check for FF 35.0.1 allows installation and use, but nothing updates. The only thing that works is hovering over the green dot for current radar and clicking on the icons for hourly forecast and 5-day forecast. I've tried every trick listed here and on the Google Forecastfox group and nothing helps. You may be able to get a city to update when entering it new on the options page, but it will not update the weather info from then on. Nobody has been able to make Forecastfox work, even using earlier versions of FF. The developer is not answering emails and seems to have disappeared. We are all hoping that he either updates FCF or opens up the source code so someone else can make this valuable add-on work again. No other weather add-on comes close to this one, not even ani-weather. Anybody here from Mozilla that can help? Gave only one star for now, but this is a 5-star+ program when working.

Thank you for this add-on. I hated the tabs above the bar and this add-on works perfectly to put the tabs below again, like they should be. Hard to believe that TB developers didn't at least give this as an option.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0.0).Lightning

Installed this add-on and imported my Outlook calendar .csv file into it. All was well and I liked the calendar feature, especially the upcoming appointments bar. As time went on I noticed that while reading emails the Ctrl+ or Ctrl++ zoom feature didn't work anymore. I thought one of the Thunderbird updates changed something and I did a lot of research online to find out why Ctrl+ had quit working. The only way it would work is if I clicked on View, then Zoom, then Zoom In first, every time I re-opened Thunderbird. I finally read a thread on this problem where someone else had the same issue and they uninstalled several unused add-ons and the Ctrl+/Ctrl- worked again. Aha! I uninstalled the Lightning Calendar add-on and my Ctrl+/Ctrl- zoom feature worked again without having to "enable" it first with View/Zoom/Zoom In.
So, needless to say, I'm going without the Lightning Calendar until and unless this interference with email text zoom is resolved. I need the Ctrl+/Ctrl- more than I need the calendar feature.
