Just what I needed, but full permission is asked. Temporary work-around is to deactivate the add-on after reordering.

I think many other add-ons are the same.
Add-ons published on addons.thunderbird.net (ATN) have passed human review.
In addition, the source code of this add-on is open, and anyone can check it.

To get the Favorite Folders in the Folders sidebar to change order, you have to switch to All Folders view and then back to Favorite Folders. I nearly uninstalled this addon thinking it was not working before I figured out this little trick.

Revision: It appears that this addon will not allow reordering of folders in Favorite Folders Compact View, which is my preferred way to work.

Very happy they updated it. Now I have my Local Folders up top again and my imap folders last in the order I like. Thank you!

After a bit ... about 2 hours ... I must be really mentally slow ... I learned how to use "Tools>Add on and Themes" ... read a bunch more ... went to "Extensions" ... read and searched for a "hamburger" (Huh?) found it ... and in 3 minutes all is better ... Now If I could just Thunderbird to recognized my passwords .. but, that is for the next 2 hour session ... tomorrow ... LOL

Option to re-sort email address accopunts does not appear in the humburger drop down. Currently unable to change the order of my various email accounts

It worked fine with older versions of TB. Does not work with Thunderbird 91.0.

I had problem installing until I realised its done in thunderbird tools Adds and not buy downloading from a webpage. X^)

No instructions that I can find on installing on a Mac. I had to rename the file as a .zip file because my Mac said it didn't have the software to open the .xpi file. Zip worked and the folder opened, but don't see instructions and there is no obvious (to me) install file. Can't get it installed on a Macbook. Anybody have instructions to do it? Your help would be much appreciated.

If you can't get it to show up in tools menu, check McAfee AV for a quarantined .xpi file. Either restore file or, delete it and reinstall addon manually. Then it should work.
