This is an excellent tool that avoids the pain of shrinking images other ways. I just asks if you want to shrink and give you options. I love it!
I've used multiple versions, including the current 5.0.1
I am currently using Tbird 78.7.1 on Windows 10

Thunderbird 68.10 on Linux Mint.
Version 4.5.5 works fine for me both in resizing images and also if I decline resizing.
Did not try latest version as it does not say it will work with Thunderbird 68

It works perfectly well. A very nice and useful add-on

Note that if you have Antidote grammar corrector it conflicts with Shrunked Image Resizer Image. The problem comes from Antidote add-on not Shrunked Image Resizer

Have been using this add-on for years, find it super useful and never had any issues, until a recent update (not sure which one).
I also have the issue when electing to send an e-mail with the attached files at their original size, the e-mail doesn't get sent.
Otherwise, superb add-on !

It's a very useful tool. But in the last update it seems that there is a bug: I cannot send pictures in the Original size! If I choose that, the mail will not be sent! :-(

An essential add-on for Thunderbird in my opinion. Makes sending image files so much easier, especially as most cameras/phones take very high resolution photos these days that are often too big to attach to an email. Kudos to Geoff for maintaining this!

Wonderful to have the app back again with TB 78! It's so handy and saves time if you do not have to use a separate programme for shrinking images.

but .... does not work with latest version of TB (78)

Nope, doesn't work at all with TB 68

It works! With T-bird 68.11.0. I hesitate to upgrade T-bird 68 to 78, a version I just discovered today. I am quite the documentarian, and send out photos while endeavoring to minimize message size. Reducing photo sizes, on the fly, is very important to me.

Continuing with my previous review, the "Offer to resize image attachment when I send email" option doesn't work either. It still makes the offer at the instant the image is attached.
I conjecture that none of the "Advanced" options work. Those are the settings that can be changed only in the Add-Ons Manager and can't be changed in the add-on itself.

I would love to be using this add on, but when I try to install in on TB 68.9.0 I get the message that it is not signed and so it will not laod. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using version 68.9.0 32 bit on windows 10 pro 64 bit. Ok, I only used this add-on once so far and I'm not a "power" user, but it worked just fine without a problem at all. I just added my attachment and right-clicked it to select the resize option. Easy peasy.....just like I wanted. My thanks go to the developer.

Doesn't work with thunderbird 68.7.0 - images were not attached although they were shown as part of the mail before sending them. Deinstalled ...

I used "Auto Resized Image" before and Shrunked Image Resizer could be a very useful alternative solution. But unfortunately all resized images are upside down (Thunderbird 68.7.0) Perhaps you can help?

Great add-on.
Would be worth another star if I was forced to confirm to resize/not resize the images before sending them. Just a message line in the base of Thunderbird makes it easy to forget.

Doesn't appear to work with 68.5.0. Perhaps Mozilla could stop breaking useful addons.
