Just what I was looking for, works great, thank you!

I've been using this great add-on for quite a while now. Unfortunately, it prevents Adblock Plus (starting from version 2.2.3) to show both in tools menu and add-on bar, as well as Add-on Compatibility Reporter, only in add-on bar. I know I shouldn't be writing about bugs here, but I thought I had to inform people using Adblock Plus as well as MasterPassword+. They have to revert to Adblock Plus version 2.2.2 so that it still shows like it's expected.
Oh I forgot: everything works fine in Thunderbird using both add-ons.
Regarding Adblock Plus, MP+ is not the cause, it's ABP issue.

As of Add-on compatibility reporter - I'm not quiet sure why would anyone need it in the add-on bar in the first place...but anyhow, it also known to not properly being added to addon bar, it doesn't obey user's customization, by resetting it's location after each browser restart. Maybe this issue is related..

When restarting Firefox, a request for the password appears, but when introduced nothing happens. I am effectively locked out of my browser.

I've spent hours looking for a program that would require firefox to prompt for a password on startup; this program does just that, among a number of other things.
Thank you so much!

Hello, thank you for this Add-on!
My question is (concerning Thunderbird): I ONLY want to protect my Mail-passwords, that nobody can look at them in "Options / Security / Passwords".
AND I want to send/receive Mails WITHOUT prompt (AND I do not want a prompt at program-start)...
Is that possible? how? thank you very much
You can't do this with master password, simply because it encrypts the content and password itself not stored anywhere, that's why it asks for it at least once on each start.

I just found this and installed it for only one feature: To prompt me *once* for the master password at Firefox launch. I'd like to give five stars as this is working perfectly. But despite removing every timeout setting, inexplicably the master password locks a short time later. I really only want to have to enter it once for the browsing session, just like the native FF. A very nice bonus, the startup password prompt comes up *before* the first browser window opens. I like this a lot and would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. Also, a minor niggle with the 'about' pop-up box: It's too tall for my screen (netbook 1024x600) -- the title bar is off screen at the top and the bottom extends off screen. There are no resizing options, no scroll bars. Besides not being able to read it all, it's a bit of a trick to get it closed, as I can't grab the title bar until I use one of windows' tricks for bringing an 'offscreen' window back onto the desktop. Then I can close it.
EDIT: Thank you for reply. I did have that box still checked, as I thought it is for timing out the prompt at launch if no action is taken within the time period? (That would be a nice feature). Unchecking that box did the trick. I have modified my rating to five stars, as the one feature I'm using works perfectly now. Thank you.
Double check the "Startup" tab in MP+ settings, make sure you have unchecked the "Auto-logout in" checkbox in that tab.
The about windows will be fixed in v1.20

Master password + sync = the most annoying popups in the universe.
This addon fixes this problem. And it does it very well, with lots of options and stuff.
Thank you.

The perfect addition to my favorite-ff-plugins-list ;)

The addon is great. However I have a little suggestion. Could you enable MP+ to minimize the already locked browser to tray by pushing an assigned button (e.g. F9) or by specifying the addon's preferences. Thank you.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.19.1.1-signed).There are other addons that do that, so no such feature will be added to MP+
Sorry.
P.S.

Master Password+ 1.18 not work in FF 3.6.28 =(
Can you fix this problem?

This is a really useful addon. I haven't tried out the various enhanced security like locking. But this solves a serious irritation for me. On Thunderbird (11) with Lightning and 3 Google calendars being read, I was being prompted for the master password 4 times on startup! With this add-on I now enter it once on startup, and that's it.

UPDATE: It appears that it was not this add-on that was causing my problem. I've changed my rating to the current average rating of 4 stars.<br>
Severely broken (1.16.1). Even after being removed from Firefox, this add-on made it so that *none* of my logged in sessions were remembered after restarting Firefox. Every website was logged out of when Firefox was closed. I had to delete several of the add-on's entries in about:config to be able to remain logged in anywhere across Firefox sessions.
This extension is incapable of doing that you described. Either you disabled auto login in Firefox itself, or installed another addon that did it for you (LastPass perhaps?)
Now, I'd like to see these "several add-on's entries" you are referring to, because the settings this addon uses are useless if you uninstalled this addon. No other setting are changed by this addon.
