Needs a serious fix. Suddenly it can only log into the very first address. And if I ever log out of all accounts I have to restart Firefox. Needs a serious update. Was a wonderful extension.

This is used to be one of the best extensions for firefox but Todd Long messed it up pretty badly with the upgrade to 0.6 and lost all interest in the project with a half ***ed release floating around. Now 0.6 doesn't even login to gmail anymore. If you are a loyal old user of gMail Manager but are unsatisfied with what it's become, don't give it 4 stars out of mere loyalty because you don't want to bring the guys ratings down... The rating should truly reflect what this extension has become.

This worked for me -for now. But, no question -this plugin is in dire need of an update. There is nothing better out there for either the Mac or Windows.

Here's what I got so far:
I manage 3 accounts with this addon:
Account #1 (Google Apps account for my domain)
Account #2 (Simple Gmail account)
Account #3 (Simple Gmail account)
Playing around with it I found this:
- I can always login with Account #1, except if I click on the "Sign out of all accounts" option. After that I have to restart Firefox;
- I can have Account #1 and #2 singed in at the same time;
- I can't have Account #1 and #3 signed in at the same time;
- I can't have Account #2 and #3 signed in at the same time, even if #1 is signed off;
- I can't have Account #3 signed in even if both #1 and #2 are signed off;
- If I sign off of any of the 3 accounts (individually), I can't sign in to any of them again until I restart Firefox;
- If I swap account #2 with #3, creating the order #1 #3 #2 in the account tab of the settings window, I can now sign in with both #1 and #3 simultaneously, but never with #2. All other conditions stated above, now applly to the new order of the accounts.
I really hope this gets fixed quickly, as this is one of my most usefull Firefox addons.
Also, MOOK version doesn't work for me, even after deactivating Buzz on all accounts (except for the Google Apps account, which doesn't have Buzz).

Same with everyone else. This add-on is no longer working as of January 6, 2011 guys. I really hope they fix/update it because this was by far my most used and favorite add-on.

I'm giving this 4 stars for now since it used to work, but suddenly it stopped accepting multiple accounts and keeps prompting me for passwords. Even when I give it the password, it asks again for it. An update to fix this issue would be much appreciated.

I have been using Gmail Manager for some time. It is good enough for what I wanted. But all of a sudden, only one account will work. Hope an update will solve the issue. Tried the version 0.6.1 from the developer site, but it did not help. Using now Webmail Notifier. So far, so good!

I confirm : the mook version hangs Firefox.
En français, je confirme : la version mook proposée plus bas plante Firefox.
Le problème est peut-être davantage lié à une modification au niveau de Gmail qu'à l'extension Gmail manager, car l'autre extension Gmail notifier rencontre les mêmes problèmes.

I installed the newest version of Gmail Manager and it is not working for me. I monitor two accounts and the add-on logs into one successfully but won't log into the second one.

*** UPDATE: Installed 0.6.1 and it works again. Thanks tm191919. Following kept in case this extension breaks again...***
I uninstalled Gmail Manager and installed Gmail Checker by Trinh Nguyen. Works for multiple accounts. Works for Google Apps as well (just enter full email address). Only handy thing missing IMO is the multiple icons allowing single click to your accounts. Checker opens the top-most account by default when clicking the icon. The other accounts are accessed using a right-click and selecting from the menu. Don't have to enter passwords. Gmail Manager was a good app. I rate it very highly and hope that it gets fixed but for now, Checker works.

Go the dev's website and download/install 0.6.1. It works just fine. There is often a delay between development and posting here on the official site. And if the addon is that essential to you, spot the man a fiver.

Gmail Manager used to work well at the beginning. In the last 2 years it's had a ton of problems which I'm sure all of you know. Every time there were updates or changes either on Google's end or on Gmail Manager's end, there would be compatibility issues. Errors kept coming up. It's a wonderful addon if only it wasn't abandoned. I kept hoping Todd would come back and fix things but that never happened. I kept it on my old computer just in case, and after seeing that it stopped working last night, I finally uninstalled and installed Gmail Checker on it like on my other computers.

Has anyone done any version comparisons? Tried installing Gmail Manager on one of the previous versions of Firefox. That way you will see if it is a Firefox change which is the issue or a change in the GMAIL network which is the problem
I too was using it and am sorry to see it go but have moved to Webmail Notifier now. Not as good as Gmail Manager but will act as a stop gap til this problem is resolved
I must admit I would rather regress my Firefox installation and have it working than go without!

Bye bye Gmail Manager!! Even Rubensa's version don't work on my system. I'm looking for a new extension doing the same thing! I think Gmail Manager was the older extension for FF on my computer!
