This is just what I need but sadly it can't shrink in-line pics so no use for me until addition of this feature, hope you consider my request.

I posted the 3-star review about Shrunked not working for multiple photos. A new version was just released and the add-on now works for multiple photos. Thanks for the quick response!

This only works on one image. If you attach multiple images, only the last image is resized. Also, when multiple images are attached, the size of the e-mail does not adjust properly. If I have 3 images at 4mb each, even if one of the images is resized to 50kb, the e-mail size stays at 12mb? It stays the same size as if all three images were still full size? This isn't very useful since I can already use Windows 7 to send a single photo to Thunderbird resized. I need a program that will resize multiple photos within Thunderbird. I hope you can fix this!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0).Sorry for the hassle it caused. I've finally had time to look into it. Version 2.0.1 contains the fix.

Seems to work well for me - thanks! It doesn't resize inline images, but if you attach them as a file it works. I'd like an option to always apply the resize setting without asking me every email. I also tried "Auto Resize JPEG" addon by jimmi, but that one seemed to give me errors.

Nice extension!
It works great except the "Quality" setting which seems to be saved in preferences but not restored.
This behavior happens only in Firefox 3.0.* branch, it works with Firefox 3.5+
To make it work in Firefox 3.0.14, I have simply added preference-editable="true" attribute on element in your config.xul
That does the trick.
It seems there is a bug with the element, have a look at:

Awesome! Perfect for satisfying those annoying restrictions when I'm trying to upload avatars to forums.
