I highly recommend the MR Tech Toolkit if you need to manage many addons and Firefox profiles in your daily work. It has saved me countless hours of work.

This has been the most invaluable of all the 40+ extensions I use in Firefox and Thunderbird. However, I recently updated Thunderbird to version 3.0 only to find that the custom window title feature of the MR Tech Toolkit extension (version 6.0.4) appears not to work any more. The custom variables I use (DefaultTitle, Version, and Profile) all show the correct values in the option window listing. However, whether I use those values or hard-wire a custom window title with no variables at all, custom titles no longer appear in Thunderbird's title bar. Only Thunderbird's default title appears. And yes, I have checked the "Use custom custom window below" option; my same exact settings work perfectly in Firefox version 3.5.6, and they also used to work fine with Thunderbird 2.0.0.23. (If it makes any difference, I am still lumbering along with Windows XP.)
Has anyone else reported a similar problem, or am I doing something wrong unique to me?

sehr gutes Add-on, welches viele versteckte Einstellungen tunen lässt.
Hatte es in einer früheren Version miserabel bewertet und darf diese Bewertung nun korrigieren

This extension is just fantastic, but in Thunderbird 3.0pre, changing the name of the application in the title bar does not work. Also, clicking the throbber no longer opens the browser to the assigned URL.

Brilliant, I love it. So many neat, unobtrusive but functional little tools!

It's horribly overpowered for the couple of features I actually want out of the thing, which don't seem to be available in other extensions. Like, I definitely /don't/ need /any/ of the MyConfig stuff. Which brings me to the gripe that sent me to review this add-on: It stretches out the Extension toolbar buttons vertically in order to make room for MR Tech's "MyConfig" button icon, leaving my add-ons window not only much larger but much uglier. For all the options concerning what to make this extension NOT do, there is nothing to make this pointless, out-of-place, ugly icon go away. On top of this, the option to hide the icons that this extension places in my menus (which I've never had a need for and never will; I can read just fine thankyouverymuch) simply doesn't work. I am running OSX and Fox 3.5.3.

Love this extension. Have been using it for years on Firefox, Thunderbird & SeaMonkey, on multiple machines. However, version 6.0.3.4 doesn't work on SeaMonkey Beta 2. It worked on Beta 1, but isn't compatible with the latest SeaMonkey release. Hope to see that addressed. Thanks!

I've been using this extension since it did little more than provide the user with a button to install themes and extensions from one's local directory. It does so much more now. For example, I can make old extensions and themes pretend they are compatible with the current Firefox and with a future Firefox (those developmental builds). I can also disable all my extensions so I can turn them on, one by one, to see which one is causing my Firefox to misbehave.
I make themes. My users write to me often, and I often send them to this extension to repair their Extensions/Themes list. Often this one trick will fix their problems. And then, of course, they can use it to find an extension conflict.
This extension makkes many things easy. I love it.
Thanks, Mel.

Quite helpful in managing Firefox: sorting add-ons, disabling without uninstalling, stats, etc.

This add-on once was nice. But now it has too many things in it. You'd better look for the extensions that does what you want, and only what you need !

"Note: With Toolkit 6.0 Auto Archiving is FULLY WORKING IN FIREFOX 2.0 and temporarily disabled for Firefox 3.0, fix coming soon."
I absolutely love Mr Tech Toolkit but I'm running FF2.0.0.20 and the auto archive does NOT work.

Amazing Plugin. BUT one of the best functions, the "auto archiv" is not longer supported. There is no other plugin for this task. Too bad. The best was, that this function save the unused XPI-files. So you always could be sure that nothing was wrong with the backup files; even after a crash.
Many user complain about that key feature, but it seems, that nothing will change in near future.
@Developer Please resupport this keyfeature again. Thank you!!!

add too many entries to tools drop-down. It takes time to figure out.
