My favorite reason for FIREFOX! BUT I'M STILL GETTING MSG REMINDERS FROM 2010 AND NOTHING I CAN DO WILL DELETE THEM - EVEN AN UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL. AM AT 4.0.1 - Tried it at 4 and again 2 days ago. Reminders won't stop coming-HAD ENOUGH! GONE!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.9.3.1.1-signed).It's possible that the reminders were marked as "Remind Daily Until Completed" which will cause them to continue to show up until you mark them as Complete. Go to those old reminders (use the calendar arrow to move the year to 2010) and right-click the reminder and select Complete. See if that clears the reminders. Let me know if that helps.

Great App! I really do love it! -- SUGGESTION: Can we have a way for all this great calendar info to contact us if we are away from the browser.. such as..((1)) Send reminder by SMS to self or group of numbers (include multiple numbers to be reminded so I wont have to stop my work to remind everyone else)-- this is great for those who dont have a reliable wifi connection. ((2)) Send email reminder to self or group. ((3)) Maybe a basic contact book (name + number + email) would be useful with those above suggestions. ((4)) Or a two-way SYNC option, so it can read other bb/iphone/android calendar appointments and still edit and update them as well. ((5)) Or send (private/public) reminder as Tweet/FB post. ------------ *THUMBS UP for this ADD ON!! ------------ Looking forward to these upgrades!!! Any form of these suggestions will bump my rating higher. And I really want to give this add-on 5 stars!!

This add-on is extremely useful.
EDIT: Thanks that fixed it. This addon is perfect in every way now.
Hi there - in the ReminderFox options, if you change the Display placement to somewhere other than the addon/status bar, then it will not auto-show the add-on bar on startup. Hopefully that helps. Thanks, Tom

The perfect lightweight reminder application for Firefox. It is a pleasure to use! Great work!

You guys are my heroes!! I LOVE this add-on; it keeps my life together....not kidding. Don't know how I lived without it!!! The calendar keeps me organized; I haven't forgotten anything since I started using this seven months ago. The to-do list is great - it allows me to separate personal projects from appointments, errands, etc. I added a "books to buy" list, which is very handing while surfing. And a grocery list so I can jot it down when something pops into my head - no need to leave my desk to search for a list. GREAT JOB!

After fixing a few glitches with the installation, this add-on now works perfectly and is the most useful add-on for Thunderbird I have used.

This add on is GREAT! I needed a reminder for every 1st Thursday in a month, and unlike most calendar programs, ReminderFox can even do that. I also like the ability to add URLs to deadlines and the context menu on pages.
Also, the German translations are great!

You know I rarely if ever bother to write reviews on these forums but reminderfox is excellent! It is easy to use, my reminders are there every time I log on, I can change my prefs etc easily....only suggestion would be "bi fortnightly" reminder option....apart from that if you are thinking about downloading an ext re productivity then this is the one to go for!! Love it!!!

This does help me remember appointments and things to do without hogging all my resources (as some other programs I've tried have).
The only things I'd recommend are when you set up a weekly repeat appointment that it appears in the calendar for more than a month. Also, when you set up a custom appointment it only appears in the list and the calendar twice (the default). It would be nice if this would appear in the calendar for as long as you have it, while keeping the list clutter free at the default two. I hate looking at the complete list of all the repeats just so I can ensure that I don't mis-schedule something because if I leave this on the default then it looks like I have nothing in a month or two and then in a month or two I discover the conflict. :(

I believe this extension has been really useful for me as I use it a lot to remember me stuff on my computer (for stuff out of my computer I use my cell phone :)). I think the suspending feature needs to be extended. I think when we suspend we could tell reminderfox until when we want it to suspend. Say... "I want to suspend all warnings for today until 6pm today or until I deselect it." And a: "do not make warnings on day x, y and, z from 9am to 18pm".
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.9.3.1.1-signed).I really like this idea. I think it makes a lot of sense, as you are usually purposefully suspending for a set amount of time, and know how long it will be for. I'll look into adding this for an upcoming update. Thanks for the suggestion!

Upon installing into Thunderbird on Ubuntu 10.04 (x86_64), Thunderbird no longer starts. Bummer.

This add-on is extremely helpful in a variety of ways, but one thing I use frequently is the "Quick Alarm" feature. This is great for those one-off reminders - such as to call someone. This use would be greatly enhanced if one could set the Quick Alarm with a specified time rather than just in a time increment from the present (the display of when the alarm will happen is helpful, but one still has to figure out the number of, say, minutes from 'now' until the desired time). Certainly this can be accomplished by using the regular Add Reminder, but setting a time does seem to be in the spirit of the Quick Alarm feature.
Thanks for providing and maintaining a great add-on!

Reminderfox is the most essential addon for Firefox, for me. It replaces my diary and ensures I never forget an appointment.
Unfortunately tooltip is buggy on my PC with FF4 (with rel 1.9.9.3.1, Win 7 32) and hovering over the reminder ribbon doesn't work to show the RF tooltip list. No doubt this will be remedied soon.
I have the same configuration and do not see the issue with the reminder ribbon. Send us an email (personal emails are listed on the Developers tab here, or reach us as reminderfox@mozdev.org) and we'll help get the issue resolved.
Thanks,
Tom

An update to my review for a previous version of ReminderFox
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/reminderfox/reviews/250298/) :
Many issues I mentioned in my previous review as limitations (like Alert Slider not showing ToDo items etc)
were already available so it was my fault that I didn't know how to make the necessary configurations.
There are nevertheless some important issues that must be addressed by the developers
to unleash the full potential of ReminderFox:
1. ToDo's should have a similar to Reminders' "Remind Daily Until Completed" option. Perhaps it should be named as "Remind Daily Until Done".
(Lists must have a similar option too).
2. The "Date Completed" must be customizable in all Reminders,ToDo's and Lists. (currently none of them have this option)
3. It would be usefull to be able to deal (in a read-write fashion) with more than one calendars like Sunbird and Lighting do.
4. Marking a Reminder or a ToDo as "Complete" from within ReminderFox doesn't work well with Lighting and Rainlendar
Apart from the issues mentioned above the add-on is badly needed for all busy firefox users and the developers show
great interest in enhancing it. An active message board which helps ReminderFox's users is present and it is a big plus.
