Thank you in advance.

Hi Lin, is there a chance for update to the latest version of Thunderbird?

I love this add on, it is absolutely the most useful tool for Thunderbird. HOWEVER .. Thunderbird changes so often, and every time there's an update, half my add ons don't work, and just about the time that the author of the add on fixes it to work with the latest Thunderbird, it'll work for a week and then there's another update making the add on obsolete for the next month. I have to think that this is really frustrating for the authors of the add ons, and it's very frustrating for the folks who actually get to use the thing for two weeks out of every three months.

This addon has been updated and is now working with the latest versions

Such an amazing add-on, absolutely invaluable for my work e-mails, when sending quotes to clients and I need to make sure to send another email just to see if they want to book. It's saved me so much time instead of manually having to check every single e-mail I send.
A MUST HAVE for any business owner!!!

TB stops working whenever this add on is installed and enabled. If it is enabled, whatever folder or menu choice you have clicked on when TB first starts is where you are stuck. So if I click on In Box. I cannot go to any other folder period. Nor will it allow me to change from TB Menu to Add on menu or anywhere else. If Add on menus is already open and it starts there, if this add-on is enabled I cannot go to the main menu, I am stuck there. If I disable this add-on and restart TB, the problem goes away.
This is under Windows 10 and the latest version of TB.
Sorry to say, it does not work at all.

I could not work without it.
My only question is:
In the old version one could opt to include the reminder as task or event in lightning. Now, it can only be included as a calendar event. Why?

with some improvements. But already usable like this. Thanks for your work.

see also comment below.
Unfortunately, can't follow re - messages.
That happens even if there is no re in the subject line. It seems TB or the addon get that elsewhere.
That really is a pity - 80% of my emails are a re on some other message.

Lin,
Thank you!
Really... for years I was somehow missing this little add-on, but never stumbled over it. I actually didn't expect to even exist.
I am sure you are not getting rich with this add-on, unfortunately, because you would deserve it. But if you let me know where I may send a little donation to, I would be happy to help you continuing development on Reply Monitor.
Keep on working on it, Lin!

Very useful addon, especially when you send a lot of emails that demand a reply. I used it a lot on a Windows machine.
However the addon seems not to be working on Debian in Icedove (TB) with Iceowl (Lightning). The addon installs correctly and preferences can be set. Even the toolbar buttons can be added. Only the checkbox within an email message is not visible. No errors are logged in the console.
Edit: problem in Icedove caused by corrupt profile. Addon works perfect in Icedove.

Hi,I love the idea for this plugin, but for some reason, the checkbox to "expect replies by" in the compose window does not work for me either (I see Aaron had the same problem with version 0.4). I need to manually go into my Sent folder, and go through the menu. This makes it very unfriendly to use :(
UPDATE: I have identified the cause for this: I don't place a copy of my sent emails in "Sent" in my Account Settings, because my IMAP server does it for me every time I send an email, and I don't want to see each email I sent twice in my Sent Folder. Because of this, the gMsgCompose.savedFolderURI variable, in ComposeProcessDone (line 77 of replyManagerComposeOverlay.js) is empty "", and this prevents the header from being located. In fact, my Sent folder is only updated once I go into the folder.
UPDATE2: Thankfully I am using DavMail to connect to my office server. I was able to configure it to not place a mail in "sent", and allow TB to do it. Now, everything is working fine :)

Haven't tested fully yet, but noticed that when reading emails the whole headers area is now hidden so you cannot see e.g. From, To, Subject.
Errors in console:
TypeError: gFolderDisplay is Null
TypeError: cal.itip is undefined
Using TB 17.0.6 and Lightning 1.9.1 on Windows XP SP3
Great idea though!

Hi,
I just installed this add-on, and it seems to work great, thank you for the work, and for sharing!
I'd like to suggest something though: Would it be possible to allow users to set a default number of days to calculate the date for the expected reply? I'd like to set it to 2 or 3 by default. Well, that's a "nice to have" feature, certainly not crucial. Thanks again for the great tool.

Kudos to the author -- this is really helpful and there's nothing else like it! It allows you to mark certain messages as requiring a reply -- if a reply doesn't come in by the due date then you can remind people. Very handy!I'm using two Gmail accounts and I do have one issue -- when I use the mail compose window to mark a message as "Expect reply by..." it doesn't show up in my queue of messages expecting replies. But if I go into my Sent messages and mark the message that way, then it works. Is there any way to fix this, since marking it in the Compose window is far preferable.I'm using TB 17.0.06 with RM 0.4 and Lightning 1.9.1 and it works well for me.

I am using FB 17.0.4 with RM 0.4 with Lightning 1.9.1 and I am still getting the "undefined" filed in calendar.
Needs a little tweaking but great idea.

Great idea and great addon, would be wonderful to add functionality for online-calendars, eg. ftp.
Keep the great work going!

Perfect, this plug-in helps to keep track of e-mail requests that expect a reply. Thank you for the good work. Here are some ideas, but the plug-in is already useful as it is now. 1) the calendar entry says: "undefined" is expecting replies, I don't know why it say "undefined" instead of, for instance, the subject of the e-mail or the involved parties 2) it would be great to have a link from the calendar entry to the e-mail for which the alert was triggered
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).Some bug might caused undefined to be displayed. It is intended to show the subject of the email. Could you please provide me with the subject of that email so that I could check what caused the problem.
For the link function, I have an implementation in mind but it requires some alteration to the UI. I'll get to it when I have more time (during school holidays maybe) :)

What is it: "Reminder boilerplate"?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.Thank you for your support. The "Reminder boilerplate" is the content of the reminder which will be filled into the message compose window if you choose to send reminder to recipients by clicking the "Send Reminder" button.

I just install this addon.I enjoy the idea, nevertheless, I confirm Nick2222's review concerning Compact Header [v. 2.0.6] (the header pane simply disappear when both extensions are active). The error console shows an error at line 279 (this.expectReplyCheckbox is null).
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1).Thank you for your review. After I read Nick2222's review I tried installing Compact Header 2.0.6 and I didn't experience that problem. I need more information in order to reproduce the error and to resolve it. May I know the version of Compact Header you are using and whether there are any other errors? Thank you very much.
