Many thanks for the update - now it accepts personal Live accounts once more and I could get my Live e-mail to work again. I thought the extension was becoming only for corporate usage - but I guess it was an issue on Microsoft's side.
One more question: why do the extension starts twice sometimes when I open Thunderbird?
Thank you for the nice rating. Yes, this was a regression that Microsoft caused on their servers and we spent a lot of time investigating it and trying to find a workaround.

Works very well. Just one question (I did not find a support forum): If I send an email it is stored on in the local sent folder and not on Exchange. The corresponding setting in Account Settings / "My Account" / Copies & Folders would be the first item "When sending messages, automatically" but the checkbox "Place a copy in" is disabled. ...if I EWS setting it works...

Thunderbird is better than Outlook in many ways, without Owl for Exchange, Thunderbird doesn't work well with Office 365.
I am a happy guy.

We should think about their time into helping create perfect addon for us.
And thank again when Beonex maintenance of ExQuilla.
Perfectly !!!

Seems to work the same or as well as ExQuilla which the author also manages. I would have given it 5 stars if EWS wasn't flagged as experimental. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what to put in the username and webmail boxes for ews, but overall it was easy to setup.

Perfect module for replacing Exquilla. Very simple to use for OWA accounts.

It works... Kind of.
Why do I have to enter my email address and password everytime I open thunderbird for it to sync though?
Hi. The latest version should have fixed this, if you use Office365. Please send us an email to owl.support@beonex.com

Light user. I get all the emails that are sent to my Exchange account without exception. Searching feature works better than on the server itself. In combination with Thunderbird this extension has increased the functionality of my Exchange account.

Impressed with the ease of setting, which is a plus. Able to access mailbox from exchange server. I am using Thunderbird in windows 10.
Following issues exist for me. I am a heavy user(10k+ emails): (None of these problems were faced when using POP email):
1. Mail filters get stuck (about every 1-2hr). Does not process any more emails. Inbox shows unread emails, but unable to access it. Workaround is to re-start Thunderbird.
2. Cut-paste partially pastes.
3. When replying, if there is a graphical signature, the error message pops when sending the message and mail cannot be sent. Workaround is to remove all the graphical signatures.
4. New Draft mails in Draft folder never shows up. After re-starting Thunderbird, able to see new draft mails.

Fonctionne parfaitement sous Linux à la maison, par contre impossible de l'utiliser au travail sur un poste Windows 7, un message "Vous avez été déconnecté automatiquement. Veuillez vous reconnecter."

works flawlessly, supports attachments, Owl folks are super responsive. I've no issues just had some questions. After using for 2 days, I paid the €10 instead of waiting till the end of the trial. Ben and team deserve to be rewarded for solving this business issue. Let's be honest, nobody is using Exchange for their personal life.
Note there is a spurious message in bottom left of Thunderbird saying "deleted N messages from Inbox". Don't worry about that, Owl temporarily creates an entry, downloads message and deletes that. Nothing is lost.
Thanks a lot. I am happy that you like Owl :-).

We converted our work email to an Exchange server. When I reinstalled Thunderbird onto a new machine Owl was automatically selected. It made the setup very easy! I bit later I had an issue loading attachments, the developer was very quick to respond to and rectify the issue. I would recommend this add-on.

Works like a treat! I did have the issue of empty attachments but since contacting the developer, they have fixed the issue. If you are still having the issue, update the addon in the settings page, and you should find all works fine after this. Such a great addon and the first I've found that works with our email provider over OWA! Well done guys!

I have tested this new Add-On in version 0.51 on Thunderbird 60.4 on KUbuntu Linux 18.04. The OWL-functionality works, except for the already reported bug with the attachments which occurs occasionally, but not always. The very new EWS access doesn't do the job right now as it doesn't catch the inbox, but only the sub-folders and has apparently also still an issue to get the contacts and the GAL. Integration with Enigmail works insofar as inline PGP is ok - a great feature would be PGP/MIME! The EWS would be really good as a cleaner access. Based on the current experience of a product in an early stage I am optimistic that OWL will be very helpful. Currently I leave it running in parallel in a separate installation, and use productively Exquilla.
Update: The developer has responded to the attachment issue immediately and thoroughly; obviously a complex thing which is rather based on the environment and the protocol than on the actual add-on implementation of the protocol itself. So, a five-star update is well earned. I am very hopeful for the this add-on, having experienced the commitment of the developer.

Version 0.5 works fine with TB 60.4/60.5 (Linux) OOTB, but can't store attachments (always empty = 0 Bytes)
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).Hey muzel, we have investigated the "attachment is empty" problem and found that Exchange itself blocks certain attachment file types, depending on the server settings, see for example for Office365 https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2852113 . In the coming 0.6 version, we will show when the attachment is blocked by the server due to its file type.
Could you please send us an email at owl.support@beonex.com , to verify that this indeed is your problem and the upcoming version would address that? I don't know how else to reach you.
