I'd be lost without this terrific extension! One thing, tho', it now loses (forgets?) the download path after I shut down Firefox.

this thing totally crashed firefox and my computer when I tried to download the msdn 2008 library from microsoft. Granted it could be ms's fault but still no reason for full system freeze.
try it you don't believe me..

In the DownThemAll help file:
Preferences >> Privacy panel >> Updates/Internet
Updates/Internet is presented as an option. It states "You might let dTa check for updates."
However there is no such option, we should be given the option to send information to a untrusted website if we want.
P.S.
Google once marked the website http://www.downthemall.net/ as harmful a few months ago.

Great extension, but v1.0.1 lets my Firefox 3b5 crash, so be careful when downloading.

Once the download is complete, it doesn't show the download summary like: Elapsed Time, Average speed, which it should do. Otherwise it's an awesome tool

This version will screw up your network.http settings of Firefox, and result in slow browsing speed or even always halt at loading a page. I hope it's going to be fixed soon. I just roll it back to v1.0 BETA which it still works perfectly for me.

This has been an essential extension, and would be five stars except for the major problem with setting connections way too high in v. 1.0. I believe this being fixed in v. 1.1, so I'm working around it temporarily by setting concurrent downloads to 4 and chunks to 3, which creates connection settings about the same as the Firefox 3 defaults.

I have used this utility for quite awhile now. Now if I install it I have to uninstall it to get sites like myspace to load. I have done everything else to fix this problem from completely uninstalling firefox deleting all entries and user ids for firefox then reinstalling it. But one thing works and that is to uninstall and reinstall DownThemAll. Which is great when downloading but...
