Does what it's designed to do! Had to replace the deprecating add-on 'Liquid Words' which has been "sadly" and openly abandoned by it's developer. Thank you mehtuus for creating and maintaining this simple but priceless add-on. Outstanding! (Ff 17.0.1)

Superb, thank you! After all these years the edit menu override bug by the old extension in Thunderbird (http://i39.tinypic.com/2l9pedk.jpg) is fixed :-)

I was a huge huge fan of Copy Plain Text + AutoCopy. But along the way of FF updates, they were broken. And while I got AutoCopy to work again, I couldn't get Copy Plain Text to work with it. But now they do!!!! If it's not working, make sure you go to AutoCopy and enable the option for Copy Plain Text and also make sure you completely close FF and restart it. I installed this addon and forgot about the option in AutoCopy. *mea culpa*

Вообще не работает!!!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.4.1.1-signed).According to translate.google.com, "Вообще не работает!!!" = "Does not work!"
However, we happen to know that IT DOES WORK! Which is in direct contrast to what "iknyazhev" is seemingly attempting to portray.
The problem I am having with this unnaturally poor review is that he does not supply any usable information. Not here, not to my support email, and not to the official forum, which is where troubleshooting and general communication belong. Without that I am unable to assist with whatever issue he seems to be having. I went to his profile in an attempt to locate some contact information for him so that I might find out more about the problems he is having on his end. Unfortunately, he does not have any form of contact information available.
Aside from a dearth of contact information, a look at his profile will also show that he never leaves favorable or helpful reviews. This is evident from all of his reviews shown there. So how am I supposed to help? What options has iknyazhev made available for me to help him?
iknyazhev, it is in everyone's best interest that I be able to help you. Please show me and everyone else that you are not just trolling, and contact me by my support email or by posting on the official forum.

Great Plug-in! Absolute necessity! Will save me many hours of frustration. I can't believe this is not an integral part of Firefox

Excellent add-on and thank you for picking up development from its abandoned predecessors. With the recent upgrade to 1.0.3 it appears that it broke compatibility with Auto Copy 1.0.1. Together, these two are a winning combination of add-ons so hope that a tweak can be made for compatibility again.
Update (03-14-2012): Thanks for the update to fix AutoCopy compatibility! It now works great and really increases the value of this add-on.
Thank you for your review! In regards to the AutoCopy 1.0.1 issue, I am going to look into this and see what I can do.
UPDATE (2012-03-11): This issue has been corrected, and a fix is available starting with v1.0.4.1.

Last problem is solved with the 1.0.3 version. The extension is working now as multilingual, and working fine.
Thanks Mehtuus

Copy As Plain Text 1.0 works perfectly with FF 10.0.1.
I was a fan of Copy Plain Text - EVE 0.3.4.
Thanks mehtuus!

In FF 9.01, when I have this extension enabled, I can't copy in a Google Docs document. The text doesn't make it to the clipboard. As soon as I disable this extension, the copy in Docs works fine. Wondering if this is just me and a bad interaction with another add-on, perhaps ?
Update 31/01/2012 - all seems to be working fine now with CTRL-C in the browser. It certainly wasn't when I first reported it, but there must have been something amiss with GDocs, my browser, or my ability to actually operate my PC correctly ! Thanks to mehtuus for the reply.
I tested this with Firefox v9.0.1.
I went to a document that had formatting, selected a range of that text and performed a Right-click to bring up the menu. I noticed that -ALL- of the copy links were missing, not just the one from CPT-EVE. I'll check into this as time allows.
I did notice though, that with the formatted text selected I just pressed the good old Ctrl+c keyboard shortcut and I was able to successfully paste that text into my word processor. However, all of that text was stripped of it's formatting.
If others have noticed oddness while in Google Docs (or for any other reason) please let us know by leaving post at the CPT-EVE dedicated forum here: [ http://forum.infas.net/showthread.php?tid=53 ].

If you type Ctrl+Shift+V in Thunderbird (or most other applications) you have this behavior already. No need for this add-on if you know this keyboard shortcut.
Or click Edit > Paste Without Formatting. Also an option that most applications have, including Thunderbird.
Still, for applications that don't support this, there may still be use for _copy_ as plain text, as opposed to _paste_. For which I give it three stars.
I appreciate your feedback comments, however there is indeed a difference between CPT-EVE and Ctrl+Shift+V.
The default options for CPT-EVE will render what appears to be identical results to the keyboard shortcut to which you refer. However, CPT-EVE can be customized with options that will give you a more organized paste than the keyboard shortcut.
I have made an .odt document that demonstrates those differences, it can be viewed and/or downloaded here: http://bit.ly/xRPvCa

Was really hoping someone would resurrect this add-on and now they have. Biggest attraction for me is that it still integrates with the Auto Copy add-on. Thanks for your hard work! :)
