So thankful that this function has been restored to Thunderbird by this developer. Where would Thunderbird be without him and other developers keeping the useful "differences" in Thunderbird alive!

Noticed some regressions with TB 91.
- address completion stopped working in the input field
- redirected messages are always saved to Sent Items regardless of whether you check the respective checkbox or not
The 'always saved' problem is fixed in Version1.15.
For the other problem i assume, you are using cardbook. This is now fixed in version 1.17 of this add-on and version 71.0 of cardbook.

It's a very nice add-on.
But I found a problem.
After using this add-on on the second screen of dual-screen, if you use it only one screen, this add-on window will appear out of the screen.
This is fixed in version 1.15

Great add-on. Having option to set default recipient would greatly help in my work-flow.

Sorry, I made a mistake in my analysis. My long line wrap problem only appears when the Thunderbird interface is in French.
Simple Mail Redirect has nothing to do with my problem.
Thanks again for this extension, which works perfectly.

Hi Günter,
I have a new problem: long lines don't wrap correctly (text or html mode received messages).
I use a combination of extensions and TB interface language, and the behavior varies according to the combinations:
- en_us interface without Simple Mail Redirection: wrapping ok
- en_us interface with Simple Mail Redirection: wrapping not ok
- fr interface without Simple Mail Redirection: wrapping not ok
- fr interface with Simple Mail Redirection: wrapping not ok
My configuration: Ubuntu 21.04 Wayland + TB 78.8.1 + Simple Mail Redirection 1.10
Have you an idea?
Thanks in advance.
Giles

Tolles Add-on!

Huge thanks, works well!
Question: Is it possible to add 'redirect to' to the right click context menue when right clicking on addresses in headers or bodies?

Very useful add-on, I use it for redirecting important mails to an account used for archiving only.
Is it possible to configure a default recipient for the "To:" field?
Sorry, no.
Question to everyone: Is this feature of general interest?

Hello,
it's a very needed addon.
It will be very usefull if the redirected mail should appear in the sent folder.
best regards,
Zsolt

Hi. Thank you for this practical add-on. I'm using this tool a lot.
Is there any possibility to add the option to receive a copy of the redirected e-mail in the fold "sent" with the day- and time mark?
Best regards
Sacha

Works well when sending from the default identity. Is there any chance that we can select the identity from which the redirected mail should be sent? For a couple of my Thunderbird mailboxes, the default identity is not configured to send email, so I need to override that. The predecessor supported that; I've had to resort to forwarding.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8).Thanks for pointing this out. I will take it into consideration.

A nice add-on; however, I usually forward emails to only one person, so would like the ability to have a permanent recipient email address always show in the recipient address line when I open the add-on.

A very usefull addon, that I use every day. A special thanks to Günter, the developper, that released a version 1.8 only a few hours after I told him I had an issue with version 1.7. Just incredible !

Very nice, thanks :)
I'd like to bind the Redirect action to a shortcut using "tbkeys like". Is this possible? How?
Also, a shortcut to the "Send" button on the SMR window would be nice as well!
Thanks again!
Version 1.4 adds a keyboard shortcut (CTRL/B by default)
And to send the messages you can use the sequence 'Tab', 'Space'. Should be as quick as a keyboard shortcut.

A very big lot of thanks !
This add-on is what I was missing since some weeks ;-( . As far as I was able to use it in 2 days, all redirected mails were successful.
Maybe, without any emergency, add the option to keep (or not) a track of redirected mail, with a copy in "sent" mailbox ?
