Very handy if you like to organize bookmarks visually with thumbnail site previews in "Groups"!(Now I use 10 groups with 3 * 3 thumbs in each group (Speed dial-window). Anyway, it is much more configurable than with the similar feature in Opera!
Thumbs up! ^^

Hello, I was using your Speed Dial until i came across "Fast Dial". It's more user friendly with more features. currently I am using 4x4=16 Fast Dials. I think you have to take a look at it to improve your Speed Dial. Thanks for your Speed Dial. Keep up the good work. Regards, Rusp Avel.

Great ...
However, the image quality is terrible.
The competition uses Java and the pic quality is excellent, I've enabled java but makes no difference to pic quality. Hopefully improved in future releases.
In addition ... ...
Latest version much improves image quality. (good work)
However, it's so annoying when the thumbnails automatically attempt to update themselves and fail, leaving a blank square, hopefully a later revision will fix this annoyance.
Overall Excellent ... ...
Current Version I'm using is 0.7.0.7
Seems much better this version. Almost all the niggles are sorted. The only one that still bothers me is the thumbnails sometimes vanish when trying to refresh themselves.
Java scaling is included since 0.7 .
To enable it, go to the Speed Dial settings panel, and in the "Thumbnails" tab, toggle the value of the "Use Java scaling (Firefor 2 only)" checkbox. From then on, thumbnails will have a higher quality.
For even more quality, consider enabling the "old thumbnail rendering" option, which is just before the Java one. That will increase the quality of the thumbnails even more.

I kept losing the tab bar while I had this extension enabled. No more problems with the tab bar since disabling the extension.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.0.3).No other user has reported such problem, and I didn't add any functionality related to the tab bar, so I'm quite sure this is the result of a conflict with some other extension you've installed. In any case, I cannot reproduce your issue if I don't know anything about your environment.

Doesn't seem to work for me :( it did before, so heres a 10 for a nice extension ^.^
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.0.3).Perhaps before it always opened in new tabs? If you're missing this feature, set it by opening the Speed Dial settings panel, and in the "Main" tab, toggle the "Load in blank new tabs" checkbox. In the case you would have more problems, contact me by email or make a post at Speed Dial's thread in MozillaZine: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=3207103

Fastdial is much better. Just see the quality of thumbnails in java scaling and Custom logo options. Clean finish, very crisp.
Try both and you will choose fastdial. Other than regular thumbnails see what you can do with fastdial. Fastdial 8/10

The new version (0.7) has Java scaling, custom logos, plus a lot more. I'll be uploading it this weekend, but it's already available at http://speeddial.uworks.net/mirror.html .

Completely changes how I use a browser - if you set the Speed Dial page to "about:blank" you just go to your home group whenever you close all the windows. Yes, it has (slight) imperfections, but it's free, it is extremely useful, and the guy is actively developing it. Well done mate!

Great handy tool. Instead of scrolling through my long list of bookmarks to find my favorite site, one click on Speed Dial dials it up for me. I have 16 of my frequented sites stored Speed Dial is one of the plug-ins I will never browse without it ever again!

Customizable number of boxes takes it over the top.

I've yet to download this extension...but...I was browsing through Mozilla's Add-ons, I noticed--you know how it is here--that you're actually responding to the comments. Awesome! A lot of these other extension authors don't take the time or plain don't do it, and that's why your humble gesture is greatly appreciated.
Oye José, mantente humilde; sigue siendo buena onda.

Since installing it, I haven't looked back. It's a good piece of software and I can't live without it.

I love speed dial in Opera and this does exactly what it says: It adds speed dial to Firefox.

I've been using the Opera browser for a while and decided to give Firefox another whirl. I saw there's a speed dial extension, which is one of my favorite features native to Opera. I installed in on my Mac, and quickly found the hotkeys didn't work. I read through the discussions and saw that someone else had the same problem and the developer, Josep del Rio, said to email him directly for support. So I decided to email him, too....he responded right away and directed me to an updated version which fixes the hotkey functionality on the Mac. This is exactly what I am looking for in both software and a developer! Thanks so much for the assistance.

As the title says, Speed dial is getting worse and worse. Pages don\'t refresh any more and stay blank, after closing the last tab, speed dial did not show at all (this old bug re-appears). The rendering of the pages is really ugly.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.0.2).Try downloading version 0.5.0.7 at http://speeddial.uworks.net/mirror.html . That should solve the first two problems. About the rendering, I added an option to the version I mentioned to use the old method. Unfortunately, the latest Firefox version (2.0.0.10) has a bug that will prevent that method from working. The rendering quality is highly improved if you use Firefox 3 beta 1.

Great add-on! I like to use many dial-up buttons on the page and for this reason the jpeg assigned to each page is becaming unreadable because the size is decreasing very much. The question could be if is possible to replace the jpeg capture of the entire page, with a crop made by me, or even better: if is possible to disable those jpeg and use some color pallete for the buttons, some text edditing option (size, font, color). Thank you for your work!
