I had to reinstall 13, install this, then update to 14 again, and then it worked. Come on Mozilla. These constant new version #'s are annoying enough as is, but since they kill addons for no reason is just making me want to stop upgrading. Or even stop using FF altogether. The only reason I use it is because of addons. I've sent e-mails to them complaining, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but they have so far ignored us. This addon is great, but it shouldn't have to exist.

Still working for me in FF14. In fact, it saved my fav theme from being disabled.

It had worked for 13, but got disabled in 14.0.1. The other preference, extensions.strictCompatibility can still override all this add-on's work, making it useless in that situation, and you still have to go in to about:config to re-enable your add-ons. So, this add-on is only a partial solution - at least this dev tried and I respect that. Still, a miss is as good as a mile. Why is mozilla so stupid about add-ons? I am not even sure how extensions.strictCompatibility keeps coming back. It's ridiculous.

This extension does not keep the "checking compatibility" pop-up window from appearing. It keeps add-ons designed for older versions of Firefox from being automatically disabled. Many of the reviews here seem to reflect that the description for this Add-on needs to be written in less technical terms, but the extension does work quite well.

This add-on does not work in version 13. I've installed it and used it and my add-ons still do not work. If I edit the install file for each add-on, then the add-ons will work again. This shows me that compatibility checking is still happening even though I've disabled it with this add-on. The only thing this add-on does is to prevent Firefox from disabling the add-ons after a restart. Compatibility checking still prevents those add-ons from running.

It had a good sales pitch but as to the add-on working?
Well it was a no show didn't even make it out of the gate.
It started off on a bad note after I installed it nothing happened.
It said it was disabled so I had to enable it.
That's when it tells me I may have some incompatible add-ons.
So I restart Firefox and the same thing again.
Oh! Plus the fact that when Firefox started again it still ran the Compatibility Checker.
So I'm going to pass on it and give it 1 * Star.
Just keep on going pass on this one.

This addon works in 13.0.1 to disable compatiblity checking but the add-ons I wanted (AdHacker and Cookie Safe) still show as incompatible with this version of Firefox. Hopefully it does better for others.

The right thing !!!
Mozilla, I don't think that fast releases and unconditional compatibility checks with every new version is a smart system. Not clear how useful or needed, but definitely annoying.

Great! Works!
I came here, because "Add-on Compatibility Reporter (ACR)" does not offer the most useful feature anymore, but I needed a way to use "old" addons because the Mozilla-Crew decided to turn their back on their users and really annoy them every release with some new burden.

-1 Star, because the addon installs itself under "checkcompatability", while the addon-webpage calls it "Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks" and it took me quite some time to find this addon in the addon-manager.

Since Add-on Compatibility Reporter no longer disables compatibility checks, this add-on is valuable for checking add-ons to see if they are compatible with the latest versions of Mozilla products.

Very, very nice. I have my Google toolbar back! Why they only support it for a browser that only has a 39% market share is a mystery to me. This works great. Thanks so much.
