Textarea++
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Using it right now. In addition to the resizable function, the scrollbars are a real plus. Nice work.

Tiny Menu 2.0.1 is now here totally functional - Nice work.

This extension is esential to my Firefox GUI ! But latest version 2.0 does not perform correctly on Firefox (I have it not on Thunderbird, don't know), so sticking with 1.4.10.
5 stars because an incident is not an accident.
NetVideoHunter

My Video downloader extension choice. Simple, not bloated, downloads videos (and most media files) from all websites I've visited. Very nice.
Cannot understand why I had to perform a Google site search here to get back to this extensions page...

I think I don't handle as many languages as I should :)
3 stars as a neutral position.

Microsoft Octopus, they really do think the Wen is theirs, don't they? I previously removed .Net in Firefox completely, so I'm not going to reinstall it now!
Folks: you don't need this intruder to surf with Firefox, avoid it!
News Show

La vie en rose ... News wrapped with elegance. Apart from having to set preferences from about:config (extensions.newsshow), the concept, the display are very nicely thought. Moreover, an ideal home page. Ah! that's my France :)

Foxtail's choice. He (that's me in fact) has switched from another famous video downloader to this brilliant pice of work. We (Foxtail and I) consider this gem to deserve the honor of serving our video downloads within the fluidity and aesthetic which join us in a common aspiration to surfing pleasure.

Very nice, since this version 2.0.5. But why have some comments regarding former version 2.01's critical bug been removed? A quest for absolute purity? :)

Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Big problem with this Stylish 1.0.1. In fact, Stlylish 1.x install intends to move data prom previous 0.59's stylish.rdf to a new stylish.sqlite. Stylish 1.0 made it at least correctly, whilst 1.0.1 does not, displaying a "0" styles registered.
Back to 0.59, because it works very well. BTW, I don't get the point of what 1.x aims to improve. I think we are many who would appreciate a word of the extension's author on what more 1.x intends to deliver.

5 stars for making me wonder what this extension may possibly be : I'm an optimist ;)
CheckPlaces

Works fine, rather quick, made me fine quite many duplicate bookmarks.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I have to edit my previous post : the places.sqlite file modified by 'Favicons Downloader' appeared to be corrupted, whilst it was perfectly healthy at start, since created from a backup.json file.
This bad handling of the places.sqlite file may explain why others have had Firefox crash.
Made me loose an hour. I'd advise avoiding this extension.
Favicons Downloader
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Worked very well here, though downloaded perhaps 90% or so of available website favicons. Not bad for over 2000 bookmarks :)
The favicons update was performed on a "clean" places.sqlite (no favicon) created automatically on the basis of a bookmarks.json file after having been deleted intentionally (search of a clean places.sqlite).
Performed quickly and without the hiccup of instability whatever.
MR Tech Toolkit

Excellent, perhaps the extension I use the most.
I've discovered right now that 'Archive XPI' does not appear anymore on the context menu (when applicable of course) when download link is on addons.mozilla.org, but still do on other websites xpi downloads. What did 'Mozilla add-ons' change in their page?
SearchMenu - Search Faster in Firefox
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very, very nice. Absolutely unobtrusive, just hover - or not - on the little icon which appears on selected word/text, and a selection of related search options is at your disposal, just click - or no! - et voila. This is a keep, should emerge from the sandbox as quickly as possible!

VirtualPanther took the words out of my keyboard. Really well done extension, and very, very fast.

"[...]and a gray icon if we have no data about this page"
Who, "we" ? What "data" ? I'm not letting my visited pages being phoned home without knowing who'd on the line. Please provide more information.
del_session_cookies
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Firefox has built-in everything required for managing cookies, del_session_cookies fills the only gap I've encountered (not a true gap though).
As far as I'm concerned, I proceed this way :
1- Options / Privacy / Cookies : Accept cookies from sites until : I close Firefox. Hence, all cookies are session cookies and get removed when closing Firefox ;
2- If there is a cookie I wish to "survive" (keep!) after Firefox closes,
Page Info / Permissions / Set cookies : I change default (session) to ON
Et voila. Now, if I've been surfing a very long time, and find myself with 100+ cookies, here comes the usefulness of del_session_cookies : it will remove, as it's name says, all session cookies without having to actually restart Firefox : perfect!
Why get bothered with complicated solutions ?
Tracer
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
A good start for a useful concept. Unfortunately the thumbnail generator used ( shrinktheweb.com ) is slow. However, Tracer allows to switch to another thumbnail generator and there are some better free alternatives, just search the Web!
