Hi,
Thank you for this very good product.
I have just a problem with the calculation of the age of the contacts from their birthday : example date of birth 20000101 gives as age 22 ( %2$S) and not 24??? and I don’t see where the problem is ???
Can you help me ?

the %2$S correctly works (once). Your issue is surely due to the fact that the birthday event already exists in your calendar. So first delete your event and retry to create your event. For a recurrent event the age is fixed with the first event.

thanks for the plugin.
switched because the integrated one was with read-only settings. today a domain change, and same issue. can't even copy setting strings. less than read-only. settings in binary blobgs:/ thunderbird will be a nightmare forever.
Can i clarify: In address book properties, can't edit "URL" or "Username", and can't even copy it (it's not selectable). So i try to look up the files, but these are binaries.

Bis vor kurzem war das Add-on hilfreich. Seit ca. drei Monaten ist es einfach nicht mehr zu gebrauchen.
Es werden nur noch wenige Kontakte angezeigt. Ich verwende keine weiteren Add-ons. Auch auf einem komplett neu installierten Rechner funktioniert das Add-on nicht. Die Kontakte werden zwar mit Nextcloud synchronisiert, aber die Anzeige geht schief. Da ich das Add-on sehr sinnvoll fand habe ich viele Stunden investiert um den Fehler zu umgehen.

Unfortunately for me, I found the same issue as the other persons reported above. First time for me to switch from Evolution to Thunderbird in Ubuntu 20.04 in order to manage my contacts, and one page on the web points to Cardbook to improve contacts management, then it doesn't work, then I find the messages here.
As for your gitlab page I can read the bug was closed yesterday.
I'll continue using Evoution then.

Was an excellent tool, but as of 115.5.1 and release 92.1 addresses do not display.
Also sometimes, clicking on the button does nothing.
Tested with all other extensions disabled.

Received the response below. Oddly enough, I did know enough to try a restart. And have even rebooted since I posted. Guess what, the problem is still there

Bonjour,
Nous sommes de grands fans de Cardbook. Totuefois, nous rencontrons un problème. En faisant un export en .csv nous ajoutons les champs, etc. tout fonctionne.
Dès que nous allons ouvrir le document excel, les titres de colonnes sont bien là, mais le contenu est vide. Nous avons bien sûr pris garde, en faisant différents tests, de choisir tous les champs "pays" ou tout les champs "adresse", mais ils restent vides.
Faisons nous une fausse manip ? D'avance merci pour vos nouvelles.

Good morning,
After the update of TB 115.4.2, the contacts in the address book no longer appear with the names displayed as I decided by me but with another name displayed. How come? Is it possible to restore the setting that was before?

I recently wrote a new review for CardBook but since then I have found some new issues but have been unable to place them on Github.
I was using TB 102.x when I removed and reinstalled CardBook I am now moving across to TB 115.x
Not all Lists or Labels are brought in from TB Personal Address Book and only those with entry's are brought in from Google or Yahoo. This is not exactly true though there is no consistency each occurrence of setting up CB over the past month.
I am running Windows 7, 10, and a number of instances of various Linuxes

The latest version doesn't work properly with TB 115.3.1
Before it was possible to right-click on a group and select to write a new message (including CC and BCC) options, but it doesn't work, no addresses are inserted.
Also when writing a new message that CardBook button in the right-upper place doesn't do anything.
Please fix.

LO uso hace mucho tiempo, ahora que se actualizo a TB supernova los mensajes recibidos no los muestra como Nombre a mostrar como estan configurados en Cardbook. Que sera lo que esta pasando ?
Los tildes de usar Cardbook como unica fuente de contactacto esta tildada y el TB en configuracion " nombre a mostrar" esta tildada.
Aun todo esto no me muestra nombre mostrado en los mensajes recibidos

if Cardbook is having72,806 users, Such a Popular Extension, But I Request you to remove some time for this great extension available for the Beta & Nightly Version too. This will help Mozilla to Development in Thunderbird More Faster, As without this type of Critical Extension we have to be more depend on the stable & not able to use the Beta or Nightly Version.

Sorry not to be available on Thunderbird beta versions ! I've got an ongoing effort to migrate CardBook from XUL to HTML that consumes a lot of time. Once this would be finished, it would be much more easy for me to be available for all Thunderbird releases. I also expect to be available for Firefox one day. This is a middle term wish as there is a lot of remaining work.

I love CardBook, using it for a long time on all my machines.
Recently it got deactivated when TB updated to 115.2.0
I hope the addon will be compatible soon - very soon ;) as I really rely on it a lot.

I have been using Thunderbird for some time and like it very much and recently cardbook has many advantages over address book Thunderbird including printing the addresses the only downside is it is a little unclear with the birthdays to combine with calendar should be simpler and can not print a label list

A very useful addition to Thunderbird. It would be helpful in the "adding new contact" to have an expanded sort list for the time zones for locations in Canada; I may not be using it correctly but the drop down list just shows NORTH AMERICA and then I had to do alot of scrolling just to find two listings one for Creston ( I am assuming Creston, B.C. ) and Goose Bay (NFLD?). Perhaps there was a "sort" function I missed. I would rather have Canada, U.S. or U.S.A rather than NORTH AMERICA ....a little too broad.

I tried to add as remote address book in Thunderbird a google account using CardDAV and providing the CardDAV URL, the Google username and the password and fails validation. From Log Viewer:

I am using Thunderbird 102.12.0 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
If I disable this add-on, using the CardDAV support that comes by default with Thunderbird, I can add the remote address book without problems.

Ce module est juste indispensable. Il est tellement plus lisible et pratique que le gestionnaire de contact par défaut.
On attend avec impatience de le retrouver sur Thundebird 115.
