I have found that a recent revision must have changed something to do with sync between my Thunderbird calendar and my Android calendar. Alas, I have now looked at the add-on options tab and selected the first three check boxes, and all is now well with sync between them. Happy days again!

Doesn't work. Add-on will send events from Thunderbird to Google but not Google to Thunderbird.

Pop Up reminders are often not able to be cleared. Have to delete the event to stop them coming back continually after the event has passed. This app has always been touch and go for me. Recently reinstalled after a long break and it is not better now than it was before. Events sometimes sync but at other times dont.

Only events I manually create in TB myself get synced to Google calendar. Meetings I have been invited to and accepted in TB don't sync to Google; So my google cal is incomplete. Might as well have zero syncing as partial.

Some events does not synchronized with Google Calendar.
Google Calendar have events, but thunderbird doesn't.

- Attempts to "upgrade" iCal calendars to its own format, and fails doing so as the iCal calendars are attached to different non-GMail addresses.
- Causes the Calendar integration in Thunderbird to behave weirdly, claiming unprocessed events have already been processed.
- Doesn't allow changing which E-Mail address a Calendar is assigned to.
I don't remember why i installed this, but it's probably never helped me.

Currently not compatible with the latest TB release 102.0.3. Causes TB to freeze after each start for about 2 min. Removing the add-on solved the problem

After synchronization, Thunderbird 102.0.2 freezes. I unsubscribed from the calendar, removed GoogleProvider, then re-added GoogleProvider and subscribed to the calendar again. The entries are synchronized and then Thunderbird freezes again. After about 35 minutes I can use Thunderbird again.

Herzlichen Dank

It would be a great addition if it did not demand full and unlimited access to Thunderbird and your computer. It is very dangerous and unnecessary. It is worth updating the plugin to use the new API and require access only to the calendar. And until that happens, it's too risky for me to use it.

This is a great addon that let's me sync with the google calendar. I have a minor issue though - the today panel goes into a weird loop all the time, syncing maybe? It would be great if you can sort it out...

I also love Thunderbird and have used it for years.
This addon worked well for a couple of years.
But since I reinstalled it, it removed all the invitees from my google calendar invites, and moreover it makes me the only attendee of my meetings. Super dangerous, so I need to disable it. :-(

So Google in its infinite stupidity has decided that unsecure apps will no longer be allowed access on May 30 2022 and will cut off all access.
So pretty much most apps will cease to work.
So before installing addons check with Google to see if it works, that is pretty much impossible though as Google does not maintain any support for its own services.

I love Thunderbird and have used it for years. However, Everytime I install Provider, it seems to delete attendees from all my recurring meetings . In effect the meetings I have invited other people to disappear from their calendars. Wonder if anyone has seen this issue before and what is the resolution.

Since years, this piece of trash makes it impossible to dismiss reminders.
