This is the best and most important add on of all. I am using Firefox 3 now and i am waiting for the update...it's impossible without it!!!

Great extension, one always seems to rember these only when they become unavailable :)
Any way, like Spanky69 mentioned, simply editing the install.rdf and changing 3.0b5 to 4.0 (or 8.0 or 20.0 :))) ) and repacking it back into the downloaded extension's xpi file does the thing.
Thanks, Spanky!

Autocopy get 4.5 stars. It would get five stars from many people if it were available for FF3. AutoCopy has made my life so much easier... but that was before FF3.
Pretty please?

To get this to work in Firefox 3.0
Right-Click on the big green download button above, and choose "Save Link As"
Open WinRAR and then drag the file you just saved, "auto_copy-0.8-fx.xpi" onto the open WinRAR window.
Drag "install.rdf" from the WinRAR window, onto your desktop.
Open notepad, then drag "install.rdf" from your desktop onto the open notepad window.
Look for the line that says 3.0b5. Change it to 3.0 (it's only in there once)
Exit notepad, and choose save when asked.
Back in WinRAR, Right-Click on "install.rdf" and choose Delete Files
Now drag your new edited "install.rdf" on to the open WinRAR window, and click OK.
Close WinRAR.
Now drag "auto_copy-0.8-fx.xpi" from your desktop onto an open firefox window, and click "Install".
It didn't seem to work at first, but after going into the options for the Add-on,
Tools>Add-ons>Extensions>AutoCopy>Options
and putting a tick in the "Deselect After Copy" and "Blink On Autocopy" boxes, it works great. (it still works if you go back and un-tick those boxes)
Hope that all made sense, and is of help to some of you :)

Great add-on to make docs, download files with flashgot ... Compatible with FF3 final if you change inside install.rdf version of FF from 3.05b to 3.0. (note: XPI is a ZIP archive)

Agreed, it's a fantastic add-on, one I can barely live without!
Does anyone know if the old .64 rev will work with Firefox 3 since the latest .8 apparently doesn't yet work with it? Or... any other hacks to make .8 work on a Mac (it sounds like someone got it to work on a PC...).
Thanks.
