Very good Tool!
But there are problems in combination with Lightning (Win7 Home Premium / Thunderbird 7.0.1 / Lightning 1.0b7). Lightning and Extra Folder Colums result deactivated menues and context menues for lightning (grey without funktion).
Addendum: The Problem appears only in combination with Adblock Plus 1.3.10. When I deactivate Adblock, everything is alright.
Standard8: You are right!
I've been using that combination just fine. You may want to check there isn't a conflict with a different extension.

@Standard8: yes, I'm using the 'drop into' method.
After updating 'install.rdf' it works again! Thanx for that hint.

I agree with Scott, it's really needed the account name removal, maybe adding it only to the inbox reference, cause if you have multiple inbox we can't discover which is related to. Thank you very much at all. Andrea
UPDATE: Thanks for the reply Standard8, i appreciated very much!!!
Thunderbird is currently fixing this - it is already fixed for the Favourites folder view in the upcoming 8 (and maybe 7, I can't quite remember).
There's a bug open on fixing the other two views.

I changed the name of my "local folders" to "LF". It took 15 seconds and saved 80% of the dreaded extra space.

Great little plugin.
I made a few adjustments to it recently to add support for renaming newsgroups to more friendly names!

Hope it gets merged into the official package, but in the mean time people can see my change via the above link :)
Hope some people fine it useful.

I was very happy with the add-on till I upgraded to TB5. Now weird is, on one laptop MacAir (OS 10.6.8) the add-on version 1.1.3 is "accepted" and seems to be working fine. But on the MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.8 too!) suddenly the same 1.1.3 is said to be incompatible with TB5 and is disabled. This happened after a restart. No clue why. At first I thought there was a bug in TB5 so I did a re-install. Same. How does that work?
So, without any hope I did the following: removed the add-on under Add-ons manager. Went to add-on page and download the same version 1.1.3. Then in Add-ons manager imported. Guess what, it works again. TB does not complain anymore that it is incompatible. Talking about weird!

Well done. For next release it would be nice, to have more columns in selection list.

First you make a nice addon. Then you RUIN IT, and everyone complains, and you do NOTHING.
Thanks a bunch for frustrating countless users.

I totally agree with Scott Reed. In "Favorite Folders" view, showing the account name after each folder name unnecessarily clutters the view, especially since in my case all of my favorite folders are in the same account. Is there no way to turn off the account names? I had kept version 0.4 which didn't have this awful "feature" until it suddenly became incompatible with TB 5.0.

I can't imagine why this was removed from Thunderbird.
Thanks guys for making this extension!!

Nice, but when you don't use the size column...the total column won't resize to anything smaller..wasting space.

Although TBird says it is installed, nothing has been added to folder panel. Also, options greyed out under add ons and so can not see if that is the problem.

Excellent! I use it since I upgraded to TB3 (I see it is officially endorsed in the release notes) and it works well, doing its job without getting in the way, fixing the early bugs I patched by hand.
One suggestion: instead of ???, display a simple dash -
I used to manually edit the JS file but I am getting lazy...
FYI, I see these ??? in the size of NNTP folders.

This one is valuable and indispensable. Some people think that this work is done by my extension quickfolders, so I think it would be a good idea if you could upload a preview screenshot (maybe before-after) so people know at a glance what it does.

Very useful. but I agree with Scott Reed's comment that the every-line account name should be removed! (Or if there's some reason to keep it, make it an option.)

Using 1.1.1 with TB 3.1.7
Works well, great addition to TB -- should be in by default.
Recommend adding column for showing "Tags", able to select which tags to display
Easier than creating a filter and updating when you have many accounts and folders and new ones are always created

E' possibile con Extra Folder Columns 1.1.1, far visualizzare la dimensione delle cartelle dei Newsgroup, come è possibile con le cartelle E-Mail?

Is possible with Extra Columns Folder 1.1.1, to show size of folders Newsgroup, as you can with e-mail folders?
