Greatly improves TB/Gnome integration. Now I can see can see all my appts (not just newly added ones) without leaving TB open. (I use Ubuntu 9.10 amd_64, TB 2.0, Lightning 0.9, and Evolution Mirror 0.2.3.) Gnome/Evolution still doesn't give me a sound for appointment reminders, though. Might need to add ACTION:AUDIO (in addition to ACTION:DISPLAY) to each calendar entry. Incidentally, I use Recoll to index all of my TB e-mail, appts and tasks (as well as FF browsing history, my home directory, etc.) Just make sure that it picks up .evolution/calendar/local/system/calendar.ics.

I have only had this add-on installed for a few hours and I already LOVE it. This does all I want it to do and really helps Thunderbird to catch up to Evolution in integration with Gnome (Gnome integration is the ONLY thing that Evolution has done better than Thunderbird).

Not compatible with Thunderbird 3 any more :( But it would be a great feature to have!

Loved it, loved it, loved it.
Install python-evolution, log out and then run evolution (create ficticious account with none as mailbox) just so it creates the standart calendar.
Install extension and restart thunderbird - this restart it will be a while but then enjoy all the goodness.
Great extension, very great work, thank you

Great Extension!
An improvement would be, to export the alarms, so it no application is running the alarm still will be displayed :-)

For those using Fedora 12:
You will need to install gnome-python2-evolution in your package manager or :
yum install gnome-python2-evolution
Then check put a check beside any (Lightning/Sunbird) calendars you want to display in your Gnome clock.
It took me a long time to figure all this out, so I hope I have saved you that time.

works nice.
The time-zones issue seam to happen when accepting an calendar invite in Thunderbird/Lighting. Lightning calculates the correct time, however it will apear in Evolution (via mirror) at GMT time. Example, event sent from GMT+10 at 4pm will show-up in Lightning at 2pm GMT+8 (correct, my timezone) but 6am (GMT) in Evolution.

Kudos for taking the time & effort to develop this great extension. I'm using it on Jaunty with TB2 and it rocks. I hope you keep this project running. Managing multiple calendars and their color codes would be a great plus ; bi-directional task syncing would also be extremely cool.

I am using "Evolution Mirror" and is working.
But, it is having problem with timezone. If the event is in another timezone, then it is adding the event "as it is" without converting the event in the my timezone.
