Although I gave it 4 out of 5, I love this program. It is the collector of all my "little slips of paper" reminder notes i keep on losing. (Please don't tell anyone - stuff happens.) Anyway, only one little feature would make this a TOTAL 5-STAR: Needs a summary list for all reminders, regardless of the categories by, day, week, month. If they want to add bi-monthly or yearly that's up to them, but I need summaries to so that I don't have to always be looking across category tabs. Great add-on people.

Before Mozilla fixed the slowness issue with Firefox, I was trying to transition myself to use Google Chrome, and I was completely lost without this add-on. Most of the reason that I gave Firefox a second chance after seeing that they fixed the slowness issue was because I missed this so much. This is definitely an add-on that I truly cannot function without!

i love reminderfox, but there is just one problem. i sync my local file with 30 boxes. when i add a reminder in 30 boxes it syncs perfectly with my reminderfox local file. but when i, say, delete a reminder from my local file, i get a javascript error message, saying 'reminderfox network error: null. then another window comes up with the contents of the .ics file. what gives?

Is there any way you can make a one week or month calendar for this add on show up just above or below the bookmarks tool bar? That way you could keep tabs on it really easy without having to go anywhere.

It would be reliable if it was possible to store data (to do's...) in bookmarks and synchronize it with X-marks.
Automatically without need to import or export to backup.
But instead all data must be manually exported and imported. In the event failure or other things, living the last backup/export which might be three months old to be what you might be left with in case a crash.
So not too reliable to store data or rely on, but good design.
Ensuring that there is no data loss is an important part of any reminder or ToDo system. While ReminderFox currently has no server-side storage of its own, it offers full synchronization support so that you can synchronize reminders with other computers, or just use it to keep a remote backup. See the details here: http://www.reminderfox.org/documentation-user-guide-sharing-reminders/#r5
Alternatively, many users have used Dropbox to get automatic backup by simply storing their reminderfox.ics calendar file in the Dropbox folder.
Thanks, Tom.

My feedback is nothing but positive. This is a great add-on and very intuitive. Important when you just quickly want to add a reminder to an email if you're in a rush. The fact that it seamlessly works on FF as well is a bonus.
Also I liked the fact that you can specify a seperate file location for the reminderfox file - means it can easily be shared/synced between computers

I really like this program and its integration with thunderbird/postbox. It is incredibly neat and is just the right location for noting down and being reminded or for organizing tasks - though I'm not sure how to use to-do's as opposed to reminders.
I do wish the to do section had project as well as tasks (some form of hierarchy) so that it was more useful. Something similar to todoist would be brilliant (I've become a bit attached to this). If the reminder isn't as simple as remembering a birthday it is great to be able to put it under a project.

I have been using RF for many, many years. It is a truly useful bit of software. It has had its little problems from time to time but these always get fixed in a timely manner - the mark of a great product backed up by superb development team. What more can one ask for?

I literally run my life with ReminderFox (well, it and my dayplanner) and am lost without it. Thanks a ton for this excellent add-on. This add-on alone is worth the FF installation!
I do have a problem though: I can't add new Reminder Categories! Is this a known issue? Thanks!
We are aware of this bug, and it will be fixed in the next release. Thanks for reporting it, and thanks for the kind words!

Hello, you did a great job with reminderfox.
Good Addon. I love to use it. But I got some suggestions for improvement.
+ different default alarm-sounds to choose from.
+ more options for alarm messages. For example an interval for alarms till the event, like every second day or every monday till the event starts.
+ countdowntimer-function for making pizza or something else.
+ the volume of the alarm-sound should be able to change.
+ the alarm-message should always be opening direct on the desktop and not in the background.
+ the option for showing the alarm message again later should be better separated/delimited from the confirming option. It's too easy if you want to be reminded again later, but click the OK-button accidental.
+ interactivity with Thunderbird or other programs.
+ a choice/option of a stand-alone version or opportunity. Cause if you dont run your firefox, you are not informed! Thats a high risk.
Thx for reminderfox!

Awesome addon, will use it in addition to Lightning. Only one issue: it doesn't allow me to add new categories or edit the existing ones because when I press the OK button nothing happens. Other than that it's a very useful tool for planning your days.

Hi guys,
I just found RF and LOVE it. Am still going through the videos which are really valuable. Thank you! The one thing missing for me is that I think about my week by the DAY (i.e. Tuesday, Friday) not just the DATE. The date is just a number, whereas the DAY is much easier to relate to.
Can you possibly add a column choice in both the Reminders and the To-Do’s with the DAY as well as the DATE?
Thank you again for a tremendous program!
