Thanks to Joey Minta I can also in TB3 see the total number of e-mails per folder as well as the total size.

I really like this add on, it's very useful.
Sure wish it had a "To" column to select-so I can see which account it was sent to, "Recipient" doesn't allow for that.
Is there a way I can add that ?
Anyway, thanks for the great add on!

Why not work on Thunderbird 3.1 64bit/Debian ?

Excellent. I really missed this feature when it was removed (I hope there was a GOOD reason for that, because it's otherwise really dumb) and am really glad to see it back.

This restores a useful feature that was annoyingly removed from Thunderbird (though I still miss the parenthetical unread message number, which takes less space than a column). As others have pointed out, this extension does NOT work properly with the "Smart Folders" view (inbox accounts are all listed as "Inbox" instead of the account names. Ditto for Sent, Drafts, and Trash). Hopefully that'll be addressed in a future version.

1. Thank you to the author for trying to provide function which should be in TB
2. Boo to whichever developer(s) thought it was OK to remove the function
3. Plea to developers to stop changing interfaces at release boundaries so tools like this no longer work
4. Plea to author to update this for 3.6.3

Very useful, but annoying as it breaks the Smart Folder view (if I enable EFC then TB stops displaying the name of the account for each folders in Smart Folder).
I use multiple (6) accounts in TB and thus I now only get 6 folders called "inbox". Please fix this.

Worked at first, but then I was no longer able to connect to my IMAP accounts. I disabled the add-on and the problem went away. I'll probably try again as I really like this feature.

Great! Gives you the chance of seeing how big in Kb is the folder.

This is great.
It's amazing how often the first job after installing new software is to switch off half of the new features, and put back half the old ones!
Fair enough to keep things uncluttered if you're mystified with what all these numbers mean, or don't care, but viewing folder size information is pretty much essential for me. Why did Thunderbird feel the need to remove the choice though? It can't have gained much.
Anyway, well done on this.

Only a 2 star 'cause, though it added back the functionality of the missing Expanded columns - GOOD... It removed the associated account names from the inboxess - BAD... I have several accounts that I monitor seeing each one simply as Inbox is a little rather unhelpful. So, currently this add-on is useless to me and has been uninstalled :(

After installing this addon the names of different account inboxes are displayed equally as "inbox" (german: "Posteingang"). There are no further informations about the accounts the inboxes belong to. The account names were showed, before this addon was installed.
Perhaps this can be corrected ....
Thanks

Fantastic! I relied on this feature in all versions prior to 3.x.x. I was very frustrated without the information because I have at least 1000 folders and sub-folders. It how I've been browsing my e-mail to find items for years.
Thank you very much.

Thanks for making this, however, I really don't want another plugin that adds another way for TB to crash and to constantly bug me about new updates and installation etc.
The way it was done in TB2 was fine, why on earth (who?) was this removed in TB3?
I made the mistake of upgrading one PC to TB3 but the rest are staying with 2 until this gets fixed.

Nice plugin. It would be very usefull to be able to select which folder will display the count of mail.

Absolutely great - however, unfortunately only for mail folders. For news server folders the number of items is shown ok but the folder size is displayed as "???" (Version 0.4, Mac).

Thanks to the developers of this very useful addon. It shows perfectly the unread and total emails in each folder.

i have 10 imap inboxes, and in groupview all of them were shown grouped with the mailaccountname.
Now i have the mailcount but the names are changed to inbox
