Very nice. Thanks to Orev for clearing up why I wasn't seeing the add-on. I completely glossed over the fact the add-on bar was disabled.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1-signed.1-signed).The default Firefox settings now hide the Addon Bar. You need to right-click in the empty space next to the tabs and select "Add-on Bar" to enable it. If you don't like the whole bar across the bottom, you can try the "Barlesque" extension.

Perfect add-on for both Firefox and Thunderbird. Just the thing for we "Type A" personalities that desire and require windows to be positioned and sized deterministically.
Works with Thunderbird 6 just fine. Simply massage the install.rdf appropriately.

I agree with other posters, if this included the option to position new windows to 0,0 then it would be a #1 indispensable tool.

It seems to work with FF 6.0, but its version info is not updated.

howdy y'all,
this would be a very good replacement for the apparently abandoned 'custom geometry' addon IF it allowed one to set the _location_ as well as the size.
take care,lee

Great tool. Simple and elegant in the interface. Might be nice to add an option to locate the top-left corner. Some users would like 0,0... but others might like to set a specific origin for each window size.

Love it! However highly needed to add one useful but easy thing!
Descriptive names for each resolutions!I have calculated resolutions for various smart-phones and mobile phones. and to remember all quite difficult!
If is is not complicated to add just another field in front of every resolution would be just perfect!
Looking forward to see this feature!
Regards
Alex

I find this addon really useful but I agree with Icyfer, one thing could improve it.
In the Customize Firesizer dialog there could be a selection box for which corner you want Firefox to stay fixed in and resize from. ie Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right

Same problem here. Very nice Add-on but it's the only reason why I need this add-on bar. Because I don't need this bar most of the time I deactivate it with Ctrl+/. It would be nice to have an icon or something else to place this menu into the navi bar.

I don't know how to use this in FF 4 without activating the add-on bar, but it's the only thing I need it for. Advice?

This is plugin is awesome. It's as simple as possible, and always works.

I found this extremely useful in resizing my windows to exact dimensions, so as to maximize screen real estate. My only gripe is that windows are only resized from the top-left corner, the ability to choose this would be very convenient.

Thanks for this update. Ver. 1.1 is also compatible with b9pre. I suggest that you change compatibility to 4.0*.

it's very good and very useful.
I wish to add a function - auto resize on specific site.
ex)
auto resize to 800x600 on gmail .
auto resize to 1280x600 on google calendar...

Perfect. Shows/changes windows dimensions - that's window, NOT just the page area, so you see what a user would see at that resolution running a maximised browser window - complete with standard toolbars etc.
Completely unobtrusive as it just adds "1024x769" or whatever to the status bar (click to choose a common or custom resolution). Even scales with the window, so if you were to slowly expand a window, the values on the status bar increment in proportion!
Nice work, Can't believe it took me so long to find after having to dump "window resizer".
Thanks Orev!
PS it's wierd how the support site listed on this page just links back here, but oh well. Nice addon :)

I have two monitors and I have all my application windows positioned for maximum efficiency - this is great for those time that something messes up my screen. I only wish every application had equivalent functionality.

Great and simple Add-on. Very useful for quickly tested how the website you're creating displays at various resolutions.

It's great and entirely convenient to be able the change the window size right from the status bar. My only quip is that when the window is maximized it adds 16 pixels to the window size. For instance, when my window is maximized, it displays 1456x916 instead of 1440x900. This is probably accurate because of the way Windows 7 handles windows, but maybe there's a way to detect if the window is maximized and subtract 16 pixels...
