Agree with the other posters, Version 128.5.1 is broken. Does not sync, cannot delete, snooze or add reminders.
Gone back to v120 for now.

After the last (18/03/25) update the calendar can't sync., I cant delete or move or add new information to my calendar. It went wrong!

After the update to 128.5.1nearly nothing of this plugin works anymore in any of our 6 installations on different Thunderbirds. It's not possible to click away a reminder message - neither a single one or all at once. It's not syncing anymore. Adding new Google calendars is difficult and causes error messages on the way. A newly added calendar doesn't show/load any entries anymore. Adding an entry to an existing calendar doesn't work anymore, too.
We don't think that the author switched off the free service and forces the donation he shows with this update. We think this is just a very bad update with bugs and imploringly hope that this will be fixed as soon as possible.
Anyway thanks to the author for his work now and over the years - and an appeal to fix this perhaps quicker than usual - simply because nothing is working anymore.

Btw. I just successfully installed the version 128.0.0 - which syncs without problems...
So - I deactivated the automatic update for this add-on and will keep an eye on the page for the add-on manually waiting for the bug-fix.

Don't be so mean. Everything seems to be a bad update from the developer who blocked their application. It still works in the old version of Thunderbird.
It's certainly very annoying, and I also discovered that Thunderbird now handles Google logins, but I still don't find it as good as this add-on.

As per the other reports, this silently became crippleware after 18th March.
Thunderbird's built-in support for Google Calendars works well enough, I've deleted this extension and switched to that.

I confirm some reports. Sync has not been working at all since March 19.

Depuis la mise à jour du 19 mars 2025, plus de synchro possible et bug sur certains agendas (dont la reconnection)

Seems like the latest update (128.5.1) of 18th March now REQUIRES a "donation" to work properly.
The screen that pops up with the update does not mention this, and the change history doesn't either. But as soon as it updates, your calendars will become unwritable.
Version 128.0.0 can still be downloaded, and automatic updates can be switched off.
Note, that if the developer was being HONEST rather than trying to hide it, and purposely break users installations, I wouldn't have a problem with donating.

Really good.
The only thing, it is missing: reminders for google tasks.
I'm not sure if this is possible at all.
Great extension!

Also wondering if there a version for latest Thunderbird (136)? Went to GitHub as Zanetti suggested but couldn't find the fix.

Awesome extension! I was unlucky to try it just when my Thunderbird was updated to v.136 (which has no compatibility with the current version of the extension until this day). But I visited the project page on GitHub and, in the Issues section, the developer explained his reasons for the delay and uploaded a fix, which can be used to install the extension manually. I hope he can keep the excellent work!

Very helpful, only using it to augment the default support of Google Calendars by Thunderbird nowadays with the tasks feature. Seems to work very well. Thank you so much for the effort of creating this.

A big problem this January 22, 2025: My Google calendar serves me as a journal of all my past activities.
It starts in 1950!
Usually I can see all the family events since that date.
Today's furthest event in the past is December 3, 2024.
Thunderbird c. 115.18.0 (64 bits) in Linux Mint (Synaptic does not contain Thundrbird v. 128).
There is definitely a recent bug.
Furthermore Evolution (only for Linux) shows all the events since 1950.

Makes Thunderbird 128.x freeze very often many minutes or completely. All versions of TB 128 are affected on Window 10.
