I first heard about CustomizeGoogle on Windows Weekly (a TWiT.tv show).
Worked like a charm with Firefox 2; removing all unwanted ads and tracking plus able to customise searches etc.
My only reservation with this wonderful extension is that Gmail crashes with CustomizeGoogle installed with Firefox 3.

I like it, but it's unfortunately incompatable with Piclens

Love the anonymizing & privacy options as well as a few of the other features, such as adding wayback links to search results, streaming image results, etc.

Makes (reproducible!) my FF3 completely unusable - crappy surface with slowest build up time!

This extensions makes using Google perfect! Just one thing if you also use SurfCanyon: All the options of CustomizeGoole won't be shown on the next pages, when you click "More Results". I believe it has something to do, how SurfCanyon loads additional pages into a single one. Would be good if both authors could work around on a bugfix, so both extensions would work together, because both would build up a perfect team to improve the Google-search-experience.

This is a great firefox addon. Especially if you're doing SEO.

В Gmail произошли изменения, и теперь при включенных опциях "Скрывать окно быстрых сообщений" и "Скрывать окно приглашений" firefox 3.0 падает

After installing and checking out the options this extension seems it's no more than a way to advertise non-Google services on every Google page. It's better suited to a Greasemonkey script.

Frankly, you can skip all of the customizations and just pay attention to two:
1. This removes annoying ads from Google.
2. This anonymizes you so that Google (i.e., Big Brother), can't spy on you.
They might as well drop all the other features.

Useful, easy to use, and easily customizable. Wish it let you adjust the number of results shown on a page or the number of pages displayed at once (as Repagination did in versions before 3.0).

I love it! Finally something to remove Google tracking and their crappy ads in one tool.

Great add-on! Especially I like the feature "Anonymize the Google cookie ID" and "Don't send any cookies to Google-Analytics". In combination with other privacy add-ons, this is great. To get sure, Google stops spying, always use a proxy and put Google-Analytics on your blacklist. Beat Google! Beat em hard! Google shall bow down and eat dust!

but it doesn't do enough. some features double up what teh most popualr firefox addons do and there are many search sites already that give the results from multiple search engines. good effort though.
