You broke quick move, it worked perfectly as it was.
I can no longer do shift+M to bring up the context menu and crtl+shirft+M moves the emails somewhere unknown.
If its not broke why on earth are you fixing it???

I am no longer seeing any context menu when I use the Cntrl+Shift+M to move a message and then I also have the message disappear to an unknown location.

Add-on used to work perfectly for me, been using it for a few years. Hope things get straightened out for me in an update.

I like the update but for me the most important was the right click to a message and with the search box I could send my message more easily. Can you add it again?

Very good add-on but it seems that in the latest firefox version it misses a lot of features like:
A. Right-Click on message -> Move To -> there is no search text box to search for the folder to move to
B. The shortcuts do not work, Ctrl-Shift-M does "Move Again to Last move folder"
C. Changing shortcuts does not work
D. Ctrl-Shift-G to quickly search and go to a folder does not work.
Thank you!

The last version update 2.0.1 removed the option to be able to quickly move an email to a folder by typing the first letters of a folder name. This is extremely inconvenient, please bring this option back. The add-on is now unusable as I have hundreds of folders and now unable to quickly move emails as I am unable to type the first letters of a folder name any more.

In TB 115.2.3 the textbox that allows you to type some letters and select matching folders does not appear at all. Also shortcuts do not work because they are bound to TB commands.

A very useful tool, indeed. To recap what other users have said and add my own pet peeve:

1) Ctrl+Shift+M doesn't work, have to use the legacy shortcuts (which I prefer)

2) The focus follows the mouse cursor, so you have to make sure the input field is selected / highlighted before you start typing, otherwise all hell breaks loose

3) In the new version with the revamped menu, only the name of the folder is shown, not the full path. I have multiple subfolders with the same name under different folders (e.g. same subfolder name for different clients, same e-mail account). In the latest version, I have to guess which is which - the add-on follows Thunderbird's structure, but it's still a pain. I find the previous implementation more practical in this regard.

Looking forward to an improved version!

I second what supercrisp wrote, just like him I'm on win11, TB 115.2.
I really like the new menu, but because of this problem with the cursor I ended up a LOT of time by undoing moves i didn't make or typing when the cursor is highlighting something else.

I'm using this in Thunderbird 115.2 on Windows 11. When you call the quick move dialog with the key combo, the move action selected is the one under the cursor. My attempts to type a selection do not change this. So, unless I'm vigilant, messages often get sent to random locations. But I use this to be quick, so I'm not necessarily vision. My fix has been to disable the ability to call the move selection window with a keystroke. But that's the most useful feature. Also, as damir noted, you can't use Ctrl-Shift-M because it's already used in TB.

Hi. Thank you for this great add-on. It's the only one I'm using.
One thing to note in TB version 115, Shift-M doesn't work anymore and Ctrl-Shift-M is already existing shortcut in TB, so can't use it.

This addon just works. Thank you!

Would love to see the ability to create a new folder from within the search panel and move the selected mail(s) to that newly created folder.

I'm running the latest Beta on both a MacOS and Windows 10 machine and this plugin isn't working on either.

It's a feature I desperately want but isn't working at all for me. The shortcut doesn't work and the drop down doesn't render in the context menu.

Love this! I'm a new user of Thunderbird and have been using Apple Mail with Msgfiler for years.

Would love to see the keyboard shortcut able to be set by the user (muscle memory problems). Thanks!

Perfectly does the job !

@Philipp: Is there a way to add wildcards (*,?) to the search procedure ?
Also a Version Nr to check for updates would be nice.
Thanks a lot, Eric
