I installed this update hoping to be able to use it to save email messages in Thunderbird. It does not seem to do that as I only get the FavLoc options when I want to save attachments. I rarely need to do this. But I very ofter need to save email messages in folders of my office network. So this addon does not work for me, I do not understand why message saving is not enabled in the addon, it would then have been perfect for me then.

A must-have, use-everyday addon. Avoids the long delay when saving to a folder with 1000 files! Save to folder without changing the default - no more changing dest back!
MAJOR bug: ALWAYS overwrites files, never renames or cancels.
5-stars when this is fixed (I run ffox on linux).
No way to avoid save-all when saving a page.
I could not get -make filename unique- to work.
I would like an option to show on page context menu for save page as, and to have "show options" on all favloc submenus.

Great extension! I have a suggestion/feature request... it would be great if the favorite locations could be RELATIVE PATHS (for example, relative to Firefox directory or chrome:\\ or event the root drive from which Firefox is running), so that this extension could be used with Portable Firefox from a USB drive and have portable "favorite locations" on the same drive. :-)

Great tool. Allows me to save any file to all my most frequently used directories. Especially useful for saving email attachments.

Thanks for the update, tried other add-ons of the same sort but didn't get the job done quite as well, hope you'll be around for Firefox 4!

I only had to live without this for a day after updating to Firefox 3, but I found it to be a very annoying experience showing just how useful and simply awesome this extension is!

Until the last two days, I did not realize how much I rely on this extension! So thank you so much for doing the update.

Hi!
I have a problem with FavLoc on russian Winxows XP OS: if folder name contains Cyrillic symbols (My documents, Desktop and some other system folder names), it doesn't appear in common Favourite locations list. Can you please solve the issue?
Thank you for your job.

I'm getting the same problem as badcrc - for any file that uses a redirect, favloc downloads the redirect 1kb html page (badcrc, try renaming .html and opening those files and you'll see). Also, on 3b5, selecting the last used location doesn't work.
Too bad this is apparently abandonware.

I love this extension. However, it misbehaves around redirects, downloading the redirect itself instead of the target file (example: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php)
Works fine in ff3b5, with one bug:
"automaticall select favloc" doesn't work

I thought this was good until I found out you can't trust it on some sites. For example, I downloaded a couple files from sendspace and didn't look at them for a couple days. They were 1kb garbage. Used the normal "save to disk" and they download fine. This happens every time on sendspace and sites like it.

great, but abandoned - works fine on 3b4 if you hack it.
"default to last saved location" is broken - don't know if this is 3b4 or it was always broken.

Works fine on OS X 10.5.

I am constantly exploring, searching, downloading, trying new software. One thing that has always been a pain for me is having different areas to save my downloads, based on their content, meant always having to select the location again. Not anymore. With FavLoc, I set my most commonly used locations, and can now quickly send programs to my Downloads folder, documents to My Documents, etc. The only thing I can see right now that would make FavLoc better, is the ability to clobber spaces in the filename (I hate those!).

would be much higher if an link's context menu (email and rss) contained a FavLoc menu option. and if a single attachment were individually actionable instead of only All.
