Thunderbrowse 3.82 breaks the Remote Content preference in Thunderbird e-mail client (31.6.0). Had to disable Thunderbrowse in order to get the remote content preference to work.

I just installed this plugin (v3.82) in Thunderbird (v31.5.0) I see the plugin in my message pane and am able to navigate to websites. If I click to another tab (Add-ons Manager in this instance) and go back to my main tab that contains ThunderBrowse, my page is blank. Refreshing fixes this, but I was mid form, looking up info to fill. My main issue with the add on is that when I open the preferences for the add-on, I am able to make changes to settings, but the OK button does nothing. I am able to close the dialog, but obviously none of the changes are reflected.

Opening a page without opening firefox was my wish, and this addon delivered. Nice and useful addon.

To make a long story short: nice idea, maybe worked once, now (TB 31 on Linux) it's broken.

Unfortunately none of the option changes can be saved, the "OK" button can't be clicked (W7 and Debian GNU/Linux tested). Last version dates back almost 2 years so this is probably abandoned now.

This saves a lot of time for quick looks. It doesn't play nice with addon SmoothWheel though so I switch to the browser if I want to read beyond the fold. If it allowed Smoothwheel settings to control my scrolling, I'd give it a 5.

It works well enough, although I'd like to see both more browser functionality built-in (e.g., ability to use Diigo toolbar) and an easier way to choose between viewing in a TB tab vs a browser tab.
But before I disabled this add-on, TB was using over 100% of available CPU cycles. And boy! Was my computer running hot! I disabled the app, and now TB is mainly using about 25% of CPU cycles.
Similar problems have been reported for a similar app, WebApp Tabs: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/webapp-tabs/.

I rely enjoy this add-on. It's hard to understand at first but after a while I eventually got the hang of it. This add-on is a must have.
On the other hand, they could have done a bit more to make it friendlier to use and the icons are quite large in my opinion.

This is really, really good. Saves me loads of time and effort I spent juggling tabs in Firefox. Give it a week. You'll love it.

*Unable to uninstall. Embedded links do not work anymore. May have to bring my MacBook to service center for help. I did not like the comment by the developer that "It wasn't our fault that you didn't read the FAQ's when installing."

Meh. I tried this add-on, and I fail to see the need for it since it doesn't add to the message viewability. I click a link in an email, and it opens in my default browser, no problems.

tb 16.0 FIX = Download Thunderbrowse v3.82 by scrolling to bottom of page, expanding version-info, and then clicking "see all versions".
2 suggestions for the developer:
1) Enable option to open a new thunderBIRD tab... that has no message content, only thunderbrowse content. Currently, if you have multiple thunderbrowse tabs open, you CAN'T close the original message-tab.
2) Utilize the above method to have thunderBIRD tab A) open with 5 thunderBROWSE google tabs or such, then open a completely new thunderBIRD tab B) that has maybe 5 thunderBROWSE yahoo tabs open. This is just one suggestion to deal with a lack of multi-row tabbar and tab-groups... both of which expand tab-space in their own way.
As to suggestion #1... it is true that if you select "left-click opens in current tab" under options, you can use this feature in conjunction with Thunderbirds "open messsage in new tab" feature to simulate this the idea of having a ThunderBIRD tab open with no message-content. But you can see that the tab-title remains, and when clicking on another Tbird tab and then back on the "trick" tab, it will auto-reload the message content. So I feel that a fix or modification for this suggestion shouldn't be too hard to implement as it can already be approximated. Thanks developer.
