As someone else has said, this is NOT compatible with Firefox 3.5. At least, not here. Firefox itself says so and will not install.
Otherwise, a very good extension.

I just updated the extension and it appears to work fine for me. This is a good utility tool that I use almost every day. Thanks

Useless in F 3.5. Copies text in search box whether you choose to do or not!
Please fix.

I'm glad there's a 0.9.8 version for FF 3.5, but the new version is copying items in the search boxes, making autocopy virtually useless if there is already text in a search box and is selected to be deleted in order to be replaced with copied text. I've disabled every single option in the preferences menu (same setup as with 0.9.7 that had no problems) except Blink on Autocopy and it still copies everything in text boxes. Hopefully this can be addressed for the official 0.9.8 release...I tried contacting the devs on mozdev, but the Forum link leads to a parked site.

Essential Add-On, great work!!! Had some trouble installing the 0.9.8, I had to deaktivate All-In-One Sidebar to install AutoCopy...

The double paste with middle mouse button seems to happen because one paste comes from Autocopy (with Paste On Middle Click option) and the other from Firefox's built-in middlemouse.paste set to true.
Fix:
1. go to URL about:config
2. type middlemouse.paste in Filter field
3. double-click to set to false
Then the Autocopy option Paste on Middle Click works as expected.

Awesome Add-on, please make it ready for Fx 3.5!

I agree with Alex's review below, the newer versions of AutoCopy need to have the bug fixed where it auto-copies highlighted text from the location bar, search bar and find bar. The bug makes any version of AutoCopy above v0.8 a pain to use. Other than that, it's a very useful addon.

Nice addon. But when I hit the middle mouse button to paste the text, the addon paste the text twice.

i absolutely love this addon and will not install Firefox browser versions that don't support it. i'm glad that the Dev site has a working version for Firefox 3. This is a clean, simple addon that doesn't need any bells or whistles. Keep up the good work.

I've liked this extension a lot for a couple years now, but it's not working properly in Windows 7 RC1.

Get plug-in however I think it lacks some features to truly make it shine. In particular the option to disable on certain websites would be nice. Especially for forums with spoil boxes where you don't want to copy the text.

Very nice, but would be much more usefull to me with some option menue like: copy in one line and/or without certain special charakters wich would prevent the copied text to be an valid filename for saving ... example: I use the PDFActionCreator as a printing driver and want to paste the title of the artikle as the file name ... the title can´t contain '?' or '|' or '"' and so on.

absolutely mandatory for me, indeed, but it's not being maintained as frequently, as we all desire
